Rift is not a competitive game mode at all

There is nothing in PvP that's competitive. When you have your teammates pouting because of the way the game works but they aren't allowed to know that the game works the way it does or why its anything but competitive.

Very much the opposite, its nothing but a competitive game mode, team against team to accomplish a set goal. Pure competitive. I will never understand why all you PvP whiners complain against everything thats not 100% invis hunter with a hand cannon and shotty. The most honored saying from Lord Shax actually says NOTHING about gunplay but instead[b] "Throw more grenades!"[/b] Does not even imply using grenade launchers!!!

1 ReplyEdited by FuzzyWolf: 1/14/2023 7:08:34 PMI don't get why people say it's a competitive game mode it was not a competitive game mode when it was first implemented or even the second or third time it came back it only just now got put into the competitive playlist it was either its own separate playlist like quick play or was in iron banner that one time so I don't know why people are saying its competitive like it was always since inception, got news for these people it wasn't. And I actually had fun when it was 6 v 6 I was less likely to get screwed by teammates not trying to play the objective and just going to get kills and then dying on the opposite side of the map when I or another teammate have the spark.

6 RepliesYou can't just shoot and win, so yeah, it's competitive, takes great skill to run the spark right by completely oblivios campers and dunk it But again you can't just shoot and win so the majority hate it, anything that's not control or cash is hated in this community , they asked for different game modes and bigger maps, then complained the game modes were too different and the maps too big, I would have quit trying to make them happy along time ago also

8 RepliesRift requires attack and defence tactics, and knowing how to play different roles. It also requires more team coordination than any other game mode. Survival focusses on kd. Rift focusses on team coordination. Showdown sits somewhere in the middle. In my opinion, it’s a good selection of game modes to test a range of skills.

A game mode that ends in a tie 90% of the time is boring and soul draining. It has zero business in comp. Rift should be it's own playstyle. Rotate it out with the other weekly playlists or keep it static I don't care. To remove Elim and give us -blam!- comp is just asinine. Comp should have never been changed. The only complaints ever made regarding comp was the matchmaking. This new random format is bungies way of trying to take the heat off the fact that they can't code a functioning algorithm for matchmaking.

Rift is a recycled content. It’s a game mode resurrected from the grave. It was buried back in D1, then dug out and brought back as a zombie in D2. That’s what this game has become, a walking recycled zombie! It’s hilarious. Hahahahahahaha!

Not a fan of a 3 on 3 version. D1 version was better without the black screen reset

It's dookie outside of 6v6. Always got berries, none bother learning to play. Can't be competitive in 1v3s. Shouldn't be ranked on bungles incompetence in making teams.
