Farming lost sectors for the most insulting % chance to get what you need...This ain't it. Not even close. So many builds I'd like to try but will never be able to unless I do hundreds of runs in this mind numbing champion spammed outdated content.

2 RepliesOr give me a better way to target farm, either will do.

I agree, running lost sectors like 10 times a day just to get 60 to 63 base stats is an insult. We should be able to "choose" the armor we want from the exotic engram we receive from Master Lost Sectors. Like, get rid of that stupid armor parts rotation and give me the option to get the exotic I want. Maybe add the "focus stats" mechanic like the H.E.L.M vendors.
-
Agreed. There should be some option to craft them or focus them. Could be pricey as well, as long as it would be possible.
-
Been saying for a long time to bring back glass needles. Nothing like the old days of running 20-30 lost sectors and finally getting the exotic I wanted only to have the worst possible roles imaginable

Edited by hate n payne: 1/12/2023 1:46:04 PMExotic armor needs to have the “Aeon Gauntlet” approach as well. Slots you can pick that grant different exotic bonuses. Slot A: Neutral game Slot B: Ability oriented Slot C: Super oriented The fact players have to grind a lost sector simply for an exotic that doesn’t change in usage other than the stats is such a silly, unpleasant and lazy experience for play. Have us grind for exotic perks or craft-able exotics that can be changed via a selection of exotic perks the developers or community have created to further the potential growth of diversity for the game. This game is trying so hard to be like other games but fail to be like Destiny.

1 Replyrandom idea: -remove xurs purchasable random exotic engram -replace with re-rolling any exotic armor piece you have with you. -exotic cipher use would be to allow a 2nd re-roll if the first was not to your liking. this would focus players into these sectors more as they cant get extra exotics from xur aside his weekly selection. So if bungie wants us to use the sectors but we want rerolls this seems like a nice comprimise.

Edited by XPLOSION: 1/12/2023 3:26:26 AMI miss glass needles…. 😞
don’t fall for the FOMO
4 Repliescarful what you wish for cus bungie will give you exactly what you ask for got a 65 stat helmet and wanna try rolling for a 71 ? you will end up with a 46 roll.
-
1 ReplyReal talk here, exotics should not have random stats and rolls.... they should all be pre crafted with good high stats that work well with whatever traits they enhance... This was just another way to increase the grind. ..

I’d rather they increase the drop rates a good bit so the activity actually feels rewarding and worth doing. Same thing with Iron Banner: I think lag aside, this season’s game mode is aight, and the meta for it is bad, but the fact that I’m basically guaranteed the Blow My Back Out rocket launcher over IB loot makes it truly insufferable.

1 ReplyDivision 2 has a system that would work well here, it's called the optimisation system. You collect 'optimisation materials'(yes that's what they're literally called) and can spend them to Increase stats on armour or weapons to max out the stats you want for your builds.

29 RepliesJust to play devils advocate and be annoying here… What if they gave the ability to reroll exotic armor? You okay the lost sector a handful of times, get your armor and then you have no need to ever do that lost sector again. If you’re grinding for, in your eyes, perfect stat armor…what happens when you actually get it? In the majority of content the stats on your armor doesn’t matter. Can you tell the difference between 90 and 100 resilience armor? Have you ever been in a situation where that maybe one shot difference in killing you would have mattered if you can tell the difference? Then with so much build crafting you can do, you can make 0 discipline and 100 discipline mean absolutely nothing with wells. And then why should we stop at just exotic armor rerolling? Why can’t I reroll legendary armor as well? Finally what kind of grind do you think will exist to get the materials for rerolling exotic armor? Not to mention it could take 100 rerolla to get what you want anyway. Which would just lead to another post complaining about “not valuing a players time.” In short it’s not the armor stats that make the build, it’s the actual armor and subclass fragments.
-
It should not be a re roll. When you masterwork an exotic, you should be able to allocate the point distribution for a total of 78 stat points.
-
I’ve actually been quite lucky getting the armor I’m looking for out of lost sectors. I wanted a better Assassin’s Cowl so I slapped on the discipline ghost mod and got it after about 5 runs. Still, luck shouldn’t be a factor as much as it is.
-
No. What we need is glass needles back
-
Plus if you want to use an exotic thats not new, your not going to have the stats you want, i think a way to craft or target farm from some new mechanic at xur would be the obvious choice since he's useless for veteran players, would also give veterans players something to sink their thousands of legendary shards in.
-
That would be over delivering. Bungie don’t do that now
-
I haven’t seen heart of inmost drop in like 3 years:(

6 RepliesThey can’t overdeliver. Hahaha! They make excuses for their shortcomings. Hahaha! They failed in creativity. Hahaha! So they keep recycling it. Hahaha! They know you’ll buy it. Hahaha! And you keep buying and playing it. Hahaha! So they keep recycling it. Hahaha! Then make excuses not to overdeliver. Hahaha! And then you’ll buy and play again. Hahaha! Game won’t get better. It’s gonna get worse. If it’s supposed to get better, it would have happened years ago when Activision left. But it didn’t get better. It got worse. Hahaha! Stop your delusions, it will not get better. Will not overdeliver, remember? It’s another word for recycled game. Hahaha! I’ll say it again, if the game is really gonna get better, it would have happened years ago. It didn’t. Hahahahaha! It ain’t happening now. Hahahahaha! But you’ll buy it again. Hahaha! Then you’ll see how they will not overdeliver, again. Hahahahaha! It’s ironic how throw money at the screen has become a meme for this game. Hahahahaha! Cuz y’all have succumb to it. Hahahahaha!

5 RepliesEdited by Kouz_MC: 1/11/2023 6:54:54 AMYesterday after reset clan members and I went to the exo frame with many umbral engrams and 300 bs seasonal resource. We unlocked the high-stat gear option at the exo, and looked at the drops. Bro… 56 total stats, with some 61 and 62. Pathetic, however I got the conclusion I needed: only the war table in Destiny 2 drops high stat non artifice gear. Now lost sectors are in no way shape or form a method for farming stat allocation/distribution on exotic gear. Lost sectors are a means for new and returning players to get missing exotics and mods. Nothing more, nothing less. And the idiots who think that one guy’s 20/25% legend/master stats statement has any relevance, now know why they failed basic stats. So yes, glass needles or targeted farm. Otherwise it’s no farm.
-
After a few runs at a lost sector for the void hands for the warlock, I would be fine with having xur having a focusing for exotics for the one you get for the weekends
-
1 ReplyAgreed we need glass needles back.
-
I don't even play this game anymore, this was one of the reasons I quit, reroll so I can replay
