Bungie has given up on D2 and it’s community

After the atrocious experience in IB recently, it’s obvious Bungie has given up on D2 and its community. Every IB game has a dozen or so opponents just jogging aimlessly into a wall, then I die. There are more holes in the game and no one smart enough currently assigned to the red headed stepchild that is D2 to address them without creating several more problems. Can’t keep the DIM up and really don’t want to. Bungie is clearly more concerned with social justice than their video game…hint….nobody plays video games for the advancement of social justice. Stop trying to fix the world and worry more about fixing your video game. I’m the last of a dying breed…people who play D2 significantly more than other video games and don’t get paid to do so. BUT, that’s to be expected when it’s obvious that Bungie has given up on D2 and its community. I have too many years vested into D2 not to painfully see it to the end (which is likely very, very soon), probably more due to my stubborn nature, but you can be certain I will not be investing anything into future Bungie titles. My how the mighty have fallen.

    • I somewhat agree. The best if Destiny had to be Forsaken, Taken King, and Rise of Iron. 3/8 years were pretty good. Everything else was mediocre (or worse). The quality of Destiny is very inconsistent, which probably has to do with the reactive (rather than proactive) mentality of Bungie. They'll only fix things after the metrics get low enough. We saw this during Curse of Osiris and we are seeing it now with Season of the Plunder. This all boils down to mismanagement at Bungie, who seems to be more profit driven than driven by their own passion for the game. The actual devs work their hearts out and you can tell. As an example, look at the new revision zero pulse spearheaded by a single dev: mercules. It's a very unique weapon in it's acquisition/progression and abilities.

      • Mate, I got out when they tried to rip us off over the '30th anniversary'. Barely played since. Do not miss it at all. We had some good times but they are over. I occasionally look at the fora as my son still plays. It is always the same. If people don't vote with their wallets then this is what happens. You can bet that many people will once again pre order the expansion and all seasons - and then complain. Spend the time you waste on D2 on friends, family, career. Or other games - there are so many brilliant ones out there which don't involve 500 arc/stasis kills in strikes or 16 hours in iron banner. Go well guardian.
