Just get rid of it Bungie, I already feel like I'm gonna have an anxiety attack just from trying to figure out how to do the new dungeon without having to wait for almost a minute to get back in to it.

Bungie believes sitting there and staring at your ghost to think about what you did on your time out is the best option they have for this content.
-
Jumping areas, yes, 100% yes. Encounters, id say No. Its so frustrating especially in the new dungeons with the fan blades. Feels like the game is forcibly wasting my time.

4 RepliesHell, 30 seconds in a regular strike is mind boggling

Gives you 45 seconds to contemplate what you did wrong -
3 RepliesI agree that 45 second might be excessive, but as a higher-difficulty activity, the timer serves the purpose of forcing your teammates to make a decision – try to res you or try to stay alive until your timer is up. Reducing the timer too much would trivialize this aspect of the difficulty. I’d be fine with a 30 second timer, like strikes have, but definitely not with removing it altogether. The exception would be portions of the dungeons that have little to no combat, such as the jumping puzzle before boss in Pit of Heresy or Rainbow Road encounter of Prophecy. Area like this do not need to be darkness zones. This is especially the case with Rainbow Road. If I zoom down to the chest and a teammate dies further up the encounter, all I can do is sit by the chest and wait for them to get down, waiting 45 second each time they die. Just remove the darkness zones from ”encounters” that have little or no combat, but keep it (maybe reduce it to 30) for combat encounters.

Sure. Doesn’t make sense during the encounters though.

Or any where in the game. If it’s a respawn, it should be 5 seconds.
-
3 RepliesAnd add check points!!!!!

yeah outside the encounter should be a normal respawn timer

This issue is yet another in a long streak of Bungie community managers not giving a crap or the devs not having to take any input from the community managers. Essentially, a terribly run company.
-
It really doesn’t need to exist in between encounters.

Whenever I die and see the timer that long I usually go on my phone immediately, get distracted for a few hours, come back and realise I don't want to play it anymore/have something better to do.

Bungie: We hear you. We understand that the respawn timer in dungeons needs attention. It will be extended to 90 seconds as part of the next game update. -
I always lose my mind

Especially when just doing jumping puzzles

Agreed.

It really feels like the only reason it exists is to be irritating.

I agree, 45 seconds is to long. How about 20 seconds. I do not play the game to look at a respawn timer. We wanna play

1 ReplyYeah, it's completly redicoulus. It serves no perpose what so ever, except for irritating the player.
