Iron Banner progress is stupidly slow
I started this week at 0 for both IB (obviously) and Crucible rank due to resetting last week. I’ve worn the emblem and 4 pieces the entire time. After 13 matches my IB rank is only 1585 but my Crucible rank is 3921! Why is IB progress so stupidly slow?!

In d1, I could finish IB on 2 characters with a little effort WHEN WINS COUNTED. I wanted to die by the end of one reset last night.

11.0x on a 5 streak and getting 200-300 points per match. Without the multiplier its less than 30 rep per match on a 5 streak. Stop throttling progress Bungie, this is absurd. It wouldn't be so bad if Banner loot dropped more often instead of the poor mans hothead.

You're not wrong. It's going to be about 50 matches to reset. I'm rank 15 I think right now and I'm over 40 matches in and have my 11.0 multiplier.

Edited by indo: 1/8/2023 12:48:28 AMNot really that bad. Almost at my second reset. Don’t forget to put on IB armor or ornaments for it and/or weapons. At least 5 items and the emblem. When you played your 18 matches you have your x11 xp.

1 ReplyI’m quite disappointed with the rep earned per match. It’s basically designed so that you need all the challenges completed to rank up at the same rate you would a normal Crucible Valor rank. I noticed that last season though. I wouldn’t be as salty if they didn’t lock one of the best shaders in Destiny 2 history behind the second reset 🤦🏻♂️

Edited by fangfireskull: 1/7/2023 9:36:46 PMFun fact, a loss with a 11x multiplier give 220 ib rep and 115 Crucible rep. This means if it was double Crucible rep, the loss would have given 230. Source: lost a match a actually payed attention to the rep gains. This means 2x Crucible rep is more than 11x ib rep. That is ridiculous since one stays for the entire season, ther other shows up twice and lasts a week. Edit: 190 Crucible rep, 302 ib rep for a win. 2x Crucible would be 380 rep, so yeah 11x ib rep is a lie

2 RepliesI think it's not working as intended. Clan members and myself are having the same issue. I'm not sure if I am going to grind like hell to roll it over. I've used void. My progression is at ×7.9 and it doesn't even seem like I'm ranking up.
