Remove Rift from Competitive

Defend you runner rift guardian, but what we are gonna do is put you on the opposite side of the map when you respawn and laugh when you cant defend your rift. Had the most carries or defended your runner the most, too bad, lose 50-200 point on your comp score. You tied, congrats, you get 35 point, good luck in getting promoted in Comp. ................Rant Over

Made even more fun by Titans being able to crash or shield melee straight into the Rift for an easy point.

Rift can be kind of rough in freelance. You end up hoping for more coordination than what you get or, tbh, end up doing yourself a lot of the time.

Agree. Already have to deal with 100% lopsided teams, 100% of the time. Half these kids can't even grasp the concept of firing their weapon at the opposing team, you expect them to manage having a teammates back to run or defend? It's a joke. Stick with the garbage ranking system and all teams being 1v3s, apparently that's what you're good at.

1 ReplyHonestly if the spawn times weren't so punishing it wouldn't be that bad of a game mode. Considering. Half the time you're sent back all the way to your spawn or a quarter of the way behind your team depending on their position. But I guess that's the competitive edge of it. You lose a member you gotta suck it up and stand ground. It doesn't bother me except for the peer to peer lag that happens sometimes that'll jip you out of some tight situations. Rift is the worst mode for that sorta thing.

Actually, in my opinion rift feels like American football with guns, the spark is the ball and the rifts are the goals, when you die you fumble and you can recover it or it can be a turn over, when you ignite the rift you get a touch down. It seems better to play with friends that you can talk to while playing. It’s kind of a tug-of-war between you and your team against your opponents. Just a thought.
