It took 4 clash games to get one match of control. I don’t have the hours dedicated to play all those matches when I need one specific game type. Especially considering I have college and weekly challenges to complete.
I would like clash and control in separate playlists again, or at least have an option to filter out what game types you want to play similar to the social matchmaking options in Halo Master Chief Collection.
Please consider this Bungie.

1 ReplyI have no desire to play Clash, so since they were merged, I have drastically decreased my playtime in Crucible.

Agree, control is for heads that can't gunfight. Get it away from clash, vault it, put it on a different planet..PVE planet. Keep pvp gunfights, like it is supposed to be.

Totally agree. Give Clash it's own playlist. Make it CBMM. Have it always be available. Do that, and Bungo can do whatever they want with the rest of the playlists and matchmaking. Line it all with mattresses and tires so the poor baby Timmy's dont feel oppressed again. Just gimme 24/7 CBMM TDM.

College should be your main priority just saying👍🏾

No , elim needs to come back so I can play a proper 3v3 mode without having to grind light 🤮

7 RepliesThey should be separated and give Freelance mode to Control.

Or they could change the bounty. But they dont care.

At least make it 50-50. Like you said, it's one game of control for 4 clash games. I hate clash and I don't want to play it, stop forcing me.

Edited by Kildozer666: 1/6/2023 8:32:18 PMThese game modes use to be combined like they are today & the player base pleaded with Bungie to separate them with these same complaints. Bungie separated them & it was that way for awhile. For whatever reason they reversed it back to the old way that upset everyone. I knew this was going to happen.

“I have college and weekly challenges to complete” I love how these are on the same order of priority

2 RepliesPeople have been screaming for clash for years ….not exactly what we expected . I like the mix but yes is frustrating if you need to do control for specific bounty
-
2 RepliesYou need to have too different play styles to be good at both, I love control but I hate clash so this is bad for me.

Edited by BOSSNONO254: 1/6/2023 8:46:00 PMI believe Bungie should add a number of different game modes to choose from. All in their respective playlist. These essentially would be a culmination of old+new game modes. Such as supremacy and momentum control. Now I know Bungie wanted to limit the amount of playlist to allow for a more consistent population density between the game modes we currently have. But in all honesty, I’d rather have a wider selection of game modes, versus having maybe 5 at most. Yes this may decrease the amount of players found in each game mode. And also increase match wait time. But at least this would give some more life to the PvP side of D2. And maybe even increase the amount of players who opt to play PvP. These game modes could simply be broken down into mainstream quickly game modes, rotating playlist, and higher skilled based game modes. All of which will have their own drop down columns. Similar to COD and Halo. All in all, this execution can be done perfectly if Bungie were to find a way to balance connection based matchmaking, and or skilled based matchmaking when it comes to certain game types. But then there’s the issue with P2P, and the engine D2 runs on. So maybe it’s too late for all of this. But these are solid ideas in my opinion. And ideas that would definitely bring some spark into PvP.

Totally agree with you on this. An all 6v6 playlist can be cool but with just 2 game modes makes it boring.
Especially considering I have college and weekly challenges to complete.
Weekly challenges on the same level as college. I admire the commitment. It would be cool if they could be separated and one could be cbmm and the other could be clash.

2 RepliesThey are the same mode.

Yes please! I have also posted this suggestion. It would be nice.

1 ReplyEdited by damnter: 1/6/2023 7:02:56 AMI agree. You should be able to pick wich one you wanna play. Personaly I like clash and hate zone control. So sick of that gamemode. We should have options to play the gamemodes we like. Been saying this for years. 🤷♂️ And stop with the sbmm, quiter penalties, air ineffectifness and slidenerf.

Take a moment to consider this level of laziness: They throw a number of playlists together to focus player numbers and force Rift on us and they don’t even take the time to change the bounties that read “capture zones” etc. I had a Crucible threader sitting in my inventory for ages. Objective: Capture zones.

1 ReplyUnfortunately due to the PVP player base consisting of 21 kids in the US and a small, but particularly talented, squirrel from poland there wouldn't be enough to make up a playlist if they separated them.

What's worse is the bounties don't count towards this version of IB. I don't use the word incompetence often, but I have no other word to describe this problem.
