It plays very good but only on rift 6v6. If you play any other mode it is terrible because you have to walk for half a minute each time you die before you engage in a gunfight.

But damn its a HUGE map for Fortress!!! If you die, and you will, during the droppod phase then good luck getting back in a timely manner!!!

1 ReplyWhy do people complain about disjunction when Exodus blue has been in rotation for years? I could mathematically explain why Exodus blue is the worst map I have played on in any PvP mode across any video game.

The maps problem is it was made for rift, including its spawns, and no other game mode works like rift. So the map is bad for all other game modes.

3 RepliesThe typical run back from spawn on Cathedral of Dusk I fully understand the hate for, but it has always seemed to me that people dislike that and Disjunction for the same reason they didn't like Equinox - you can't get away with using Hand Cannon + Shotgun and be able to cover all engagement ranges the map has.

1 ReplyYou can tell Disjunction was built specifically with Rift in mind considering they came out at the same time. There are way too many chokepoints, LoS barriers, and "secret" hallways to convince me otherwise.

2 RepliesBungie made a bigger map...which is good. However, they also placed the spawn points in the furthest reaches of this much bigger map without a reasonable way to get back in the action...which is terrible. This map needs man cannons or something. Or the spawns need rethought. Either could make it palatable. Neither is terrible to do and doesn't require just trashing the map completely.

No matter the mode, it takes you roughly 15 seconds to get back in the game once you die. Absolute failure of a map.

Here's a hot take: Disjunction wouldn't be a bad map if we had a better meta. The fact that defensive abilities and weapons are so strong is what kills this map, as it forces a passive, teamshot-based meta that ends up having action on only a point or two of a map at a time. Disjunction has a great balance of close quarters and movement-based areas with long, open sightlines that would make for a pretty fun experience if players were given weapons and abilities that gave them the confidence to move around the map and challenge players alone.
