It still won’t stop players from leaving shitty games. Who cares about a “timeout” period 😂😂
-
Don't care at all about 30 minutes. Literally anything you do with that time is more productive than watching plebs botch every game. Until they figure out how games work and start with real teams, no reason not to quit.

4 RepliesQuitter penalties absolutely work, exactly as intended. They keep quitters out of MY games. When you quit, and are put in timeout, like a little kid who needs a reminder of the rules, you are unable to join again right away and quit in a second game in a row. That's it. That's all they are supposed to do. Penalties incentive good behavior and provide consequences for negative behavior. If you are thinking it's supposed to make people WANT to stay in a game, nope, that's not what they are for. Nobody can make you want something but you. I don't think crucible is perfect, but I think it's on me to find a way to enjoy the meta/playlist/objective/whatever that we have right now OR go find something else to do.

I deserve cash and prizes for never quitting!

7 RepliesWell yea obviously. That's why the "quitting numbers" have gone up again after the initial drop in quitters. People just don't re-queue after a terrible match, instead they just play pve or turn the game off. It's beyond me how they ever thought this will improve the quality of the matches. It does not. Either the frustrated players quit anyways, force themselves through a horrible 10 minute experience or they go afk to avoid the suspension. Any of the 3 outcomes lead to them not wanting to play pvp anymore. Forcing a quitter penalty in the casual playlist leads to players not wanting to play pvp anymore. Great analysts over there at Bungie, i must say lol

1 ReplyWhat your suggestions? Permanent ban for quitting? Not gonna happen. Restrictions shouldn't be a thing at all. Or at least they should present in raids and dungeons, when people been kicked right after raid boss defeated.

1 ReplyIt doesn't stop me from quitting, just increases the length of time I stay off the game for, like weeks or months at a time instead.
-
Can't wait for penalties for leaving strikes.
-
You're right. I quit almost every other game. I only do pvp for bounties and loot and I can't even be bothered to do that sometimes
-
It’s also character based so you can just swap and go straight back in
-
Exactly. If the map is bad and I’m getting lobby balanced with atrociously bad lag, I’m leaving lol.
-
1 ReplyI played a little quickplay over the weekend and almost every game had quitters. That said, at no point did I give a -blam!- that someone had quit. It's quickplay for crying out loud.
-
It's amazing the attitude towards this I mean you didn't see cbmm players quiting matches but as soon as sbmm gets brought back slightly all the chidren start quiting.

Disjunction 3rd time in a row, im out! I dont care about the penalty. Having the penalty for data to track about how many people quit certain maps and get the penalty may help them realize WHY players leave, and make the correct adjustments and not penalize their player base for collectively being fed up with the games map weights and lobby balancing. Most maps where players quit are maps where they need to run 30s just to get to an area of combat. Disjunction and Cathedral being the prime examples of bad map design and spawn points. While we shouldnt spawn in the action, we should be remotely present and able to keep the flow of the game up. What often happens on these maps, is you die, spawn in and run 30s to get back into combat only to be killed in the transition phase and have the cycle continue. Its a strategy that is often used to tilt the enemy, as they are never really ready to engage after the cycle starts.

2 RepliesI just love how bungie can't differentiate between a manual quit and an error code boot Until they figure that out, there shouldn't be a quitter penalty
-
1 ReplyQuitter penalties are a cop out from implementing actual SBMM and lobby balancing. Just make a half-assed attempt and punish people from leaving. EZPZ. That's the Bungie way anymore it seems. I wonder how long until Bungie garners the Ubisoft and EA level of bad quality reputation.

2 RepliesAnd since iron banner isnt falling under that i shall be quitting many matches and leaving my crap teammates to fail on their own

Guardian, Archon Of LightArchon Priest Of House Light - old
They shouldn't be in non competitive modes anyway? , what's next, a timeout for leaving a strike -
There was a guy yesterday complaining about it so it works
-
6 RepliesQuick play does not need quitter penalties
-
2 RepliesThe biggest punishment of all. Having thirty minutes to stay out of the Crucible.
-
7 RepliesImagine a game in 2022/23 that forces you to play ( getting stomped at ) or you face timeout. In real life it would be like - someone is bashing my head but police won't act until he is finished.

Nobodies stopping you
oh wait, they are 🤣
With this games horrible matchmaking, looks like you’ll be leaving every match. 👍
