Today, I wanted to download new Escape from Tarkov patch while I was playing D2 but I wanted to limit the download speed so that I don't lag in D2. Game's launcher doesn't support a limiter so I had to use Netlimiter but I had no idea it is an illegal program for Destiny. I opened it and as soon as I did Battleye kicked me from the game. Note that I have never used the program for Destiny. Just for limiting download speeds on apps that don't support it. Like EFT launcher and Chrome. Is opening the application while Destiny is also open against code of conduct? Can this result in a ban?

You are 100% fine. NLSVC is always running anyways. You will not be banned battle eye only closes the game if it detected NetLimiter program running will not ban you. Due to it having real world uses. You will be fine.

I would just play destiny 2 without the other game downloading.
