I have been grinding since the season began in the new competitive queue, and have been hard stuck adept due to a possible bug/unintended weighting with the competitive rank points. Nearly every game I play is incredibly close, and looking at a 3rd party MMR tracker (Destiny Tracker) it confirms that games are relatively consistent in MMR. However, about 80% of my wins give around +5 rank points, while nearly 90% of losses give -150 or more. My only thinking for why this could be is that the matchmaking puts me in balanced games, but doesn't look at rank due to the low player count in adept+, so I get tough, close games, but I get nearly nothing for ranked points due to the [i]rank[/i] discrepancy. Competitive and Trials are the only aspirational content for PVP right now, and the fact that I can (no joke) go 10-2 in one day and go [b]down[/b] -250 is frankly absurd.
