While it is indeed a problem, it always boggles my mind that people invest so much time in new features. Every time Bungie releases something like this, it's broken for half a season on release. Without fail. Ignore that feature this season and come back to it next season when they finally change it up.

Your problem is farming one encounter, you don’t think bungie found a way to combat the farming with permanent loot drops, try doing the whole raid you lazy -blam!-.

Your problem is playing 20 hours in two days. Try not trying and -blam!- will drop eventually.

Why would you spend over twenty hours farming DSC? I would have gotten bored after three.

You should know by now bungie releases stuff with a shitty drop rate, so streamers and no life’s can get to them first. Then they get a little generous later on for the majority of the playerbase.

Imo I would just farm only atraks and taniks final since you can one phase them easily, as for security and first taniks I would just do normally. Security I would farm easily because if you do the challenge you're turning a 5 min encounter into a 20 min encounter and someone might mess up so, it's the same with 3rd encounter yeah it takes long anyway but someone could make a mistake and then you have to restart. If I was to farm the raid I would just farm atraks for spoils if you get any and then just beat the raid normally and hope rng blesses you on the final chest. It's the sad truth and I believe this will be better, all you're getting by doing challenge is a second chest yeah another chance at the deep sight but the second chest has the same drop rate and you still gotta risk getting 1 of 3 pieces of armor especially if you're trying to get trustee. I apologize if this has nothing to do with your post but this is my opinion on the matter. Either keep trying or just do it weekly, no one is telling you or forcing you to get all the patterns asap except yourself. Yeah it will be easier because then you don't have to worry but honestly I'm okay with just doing it weekly because that's a lot better than losing my mind, even on the off weeks because you still get one guaranteed you just won't get a pinnacle or spoils or the chance to be able to farm an encounter. Overall though to me half of the perks for the shotty and sniper are probably not even worth enhancing, like I think reconstruction is just faster and I think recombination just gives more stacks all the other perks all they do is add like 5 reload or 5 accuracy all that sort of lame stuff. Once again I apologize if this has nothing to do with your post or what you're actually trying to get across.

The drop rates have been adjusted across the board it seems. No matter the activity, I can't seem to be getting anything. Time to sign out from this game...

Why is only half of your runs challenge, furthermore how many encounters did you actually complete because your time you have claimed to have waisted would not make sense to not get a bunch of red borders. If it was high encounter completion to time then that’s truly unfortunate but thats a looter shooter. If u don’t want to get completely bored just run the whole raid not to mention u could pump raid spoils in at the end for even more loot. Free hand outs is not that important, Deep stone isn’t going anywhere my dude you have more then enough time if you sunked in 20 hours in 2 days during the holidays. But at the same time you would be more time efficient if you just did deep stone every week instead for the guaranteed red border if u literally got one drop in 20 hours.

I understand why you are farming, the weapons are great. But it’s Christmas, enjoy the holiday period and try to find a nice balance.

We all knew bungie was going to do that especially the first week of this raid bk in rotation. Wait tho because they will be coming addressing that in a future twab about this is not working as intended 😂

I mean you’re hardly farming efficiently, Some of your cps are 28mins etc. Should be farming the cps sub 3mins. Some of us were done both weapons in sub 3 hours. :/
