The mods this thing provides are meh. The ones that are actually “useful” are way too expensive to equip. Please don’t do this again

Why would you want cheap mods in a power fantasy game??? No your reward for grinding XP to unlocked the columns of the artifact are expensive mods that beak all you builds to be able to use them. Or complete crap mods.

That's why missions such as Operations Seraph Shield or Witch Queen legendary campaign are so great. You can go in with whatever loadout you want, you can change in between in order to adapt for situational changes (long distance vs short distance, running vs jumping etc), you have no champions. Yet it is challenging and fun.

3 RepliesIt would have been better if they did not specify any element for grenade or melee for things like overload, anti-barrier, or unstoppable. This, again, is forcing people to use subclasses they don't want to play as. I rarely use stasis or arc anymore. I just love my solar subclass, and sometimes void. If Bungie believes that those other subclasses are underrepresented, then they should realize that there's a problem with them that's why they're not being used. Simple, really.

I haven't used artifact mods for a while now. Except of course champion mods. Once I realized my builds would be trash once the seasonal artifact ended I started making builds without the artifact. I do like the solo mod this season though.

I remember thinking the Artifact was a great idea. That lasted for about one season. Now I think I'm a -blam!- moron for ever having that opinion.

1 ReplyHonestly, get rid of the artifact. Making content that’s disposable is such a waste. The artifact should be to screw with cool “what if” type stuff, almost like a PTS. Like when Font of Might costed 1 for a season, or what if this ammo reloaded costed less, what if you got more damage without a fire team! Those kinds of stuff. Things that you build around, like Chomatic Maestro, or Breach and Clear, should be designed as combat style mods earned through the season. We should constantly have permanent choices to expand build making added to the game, not 3 month throw away mods.

10 RepliesBungie trying to control loadouts again. I understand what they’re trying to do but 7 energy points for an anti-champion mod is ridiculous. Especially when it’s the only one working halfway decently in the Unstoppable role.

2 RepliesI don’t do pinnacles anymore bcos it’s a waste of time and anything with champion mods I just avoid. I’m not switching my build around for anything. Il pick up the new weapons etc and I want the crafted ikelos smg but apart from that I’m not grinding. Just don’t have the same interest levels anymore. But for once destiny rewarded me fairly. Last night I helped 2 ppl through new dungeon and it gave me the bow which I don’t think il use but appreciate still getting it.

Agreed. I can’t be bothered to update my present builds as there’s really nothing useful to add to them from the artifact. Ya, Lucent Finisher has use in GM content and there’s a couple other mods that provide some minor benefit but overall the entire 25 options are pretty underwhelming.

Then use hand cannon for 1 energy or an intrinsic unstop weapon, even arc/stasis melee costs 1. Everything is pretty fairly priced tbh

1 ReplyThese are absolute trash: +5 mobility for 4 points when normally you get +10 for 3 +5 resilience for 3 points when you get +10 for 3 Grenade launcher holster.. for powered grenade launchers.. 6 points for that element synergy thing meaning you can't use weakened clear or the solo damage boost airborne effectiveness Unstop Hand Cannon

The champion mods are making me lose my mind. It’s like they went out their way to make it not fun. Like intentionally removed the entertainment factor. With the amount of options we have it’s such a mistake to force a limiting loadout on the players.

monochromatic maestro is beastly, especially with arc warlock using coldheart. solo operative is good as well as weakened clear. the enhanced veist stinger mod synergizes really good with the new stasis smg of it has target lock. overall, not too shabby.

Here's a better option: The artifact mods are just overall cheaper to apply via that seasons artifact. However, we have those mods year round at a higher cost. i.e.: Artifact Lucent Finisher - 4 Mod Slots Yearly Lucent Finisher - 7 Mod Slots

5 RepliesThis season's artifact mods are the best ever actually. Outside of unstoppable grenade launcher everything seems good. Solo operative alone makes the season but I can pair that with grenade launcher weaken is nice. Or go lucent hive and perpetual damage buff if in a team. Great options. 👍
