A couple of hours ago I managed to solo the new exotic quest. I really didn't expect to solo it since exotic quests are hard to do alone. The quest was kind of frusrating though and I died like 40 times or so but overall I beat it.

1 ReplyMy sincere congratulations! Did it solo on normal mode. And tonight again on legendary mode. Died many many times in both cases and took me literally hours. But it was pure fun and felt like a real accomplishment. I will for sure try again the coming weeks and try for solo flawless. Dying by laser traps in doors and during the outer space jumping puzzle. Plus of course several times in the Boss rooms before I found ways to defeat the bosses (Hive semi boss and Scorn final one). Very good job on Bungie side. Side note: I have read messages complaining about that was reused Deep Stone Crypt stuff. I hear you raid hardcore guys. But please understand there are solo players out there who never ran this (or maybe another partially reused one) and for them (here me) it is fresh content. Maybe I even have learnt now something which might help me in case I ever got on a team for DSC. Take care everyone and Merry Christmas!!!

1 ReplyIt's easier than previous quests like whisper
-
1 ReplySame. I love how mentally challenging it was. While previous exotic missions challenged your skill and reaction time, this one challenged your brain. I loved it.
-
Yeah, me too- on legendary. I died over 40x and it took over 2 hours. Mission was fun but way too long...

I have to do exotic quests solo ….get fully immersed . Really enjoyed the quest , got stuck on a few of the puzzles but managed to work it out without going to YouTube .
-
Well done man! Now try solo flawless, you got this!
-
Congrats! I soloed this by accident on Tuesday with a “I’ll just see how far I can get before the team gets online”, but was enjoying it so much that I stuck with it, despite my irrational (and probably just me that gets this) discomfort of heights in videogames that was definitely triggered by the jumping bit! Worth it for the view though. Microwave room was a sod as I must have been bouncing about for half an hour till I finally realised that walking past the window with the augment looked different! Made worse by not realising that the correct consoles were shown upstairs AND the order changes with every run, so when I did a teaching run for my fireteam I instantly fried 😁

17 RepliesDude that toaster oven section was rough. Definitely had an issue with that one
-
1 ReplyIt’s pretty easy to do so 🤷♂️
-
I'll be back to do the same thing too, congrats man! My ps4 is under repair otherwise I'd be online
-
Good job I soloed it too just to see how far I'd get without a guide and I only really died to lasers I can definitely get flawless wish there was a ghost or something tho
-
Congrats my man.

2 RepliesSame! Was definitely fun to try and figure out solo the first time. I hadn't played DSC so it was pretty much all new to me too. Best part IMO- it was somewhat challenging without using champions or anything that restricts your loadout or build options. Only problem...the bugs. I was able to complete it on my hunter and titan without issues, but tries 3 times yesterday only warlock and had glitches each time. Both times we couldn't progress to the part where you pretend to surrender to the fallen because the dialog wouldn't trigger. Also had several rooms in the mission where I couldn't crouch, slide or use my rift which was annoying

2 RepliesBeing excited about completing a challenging piece of content is something a lot of us grizzled veterans rarely feel anymore 😢 Nice job, guardian.
-
Same 👍 and definitely enjoyed it the whole way
-
I loved it because there wasn’t a timer, the alone made me love the mission.

1 ReplyDon't let the passive aggressive "it was the easiest one to do, good job" trolls diminish your accomplishment. You would not have posted this if you thought it was "easy". I did it too solo, died a few times and will do it again to do it without dying. GG Q.
