A lot of it is in the new Battlegrounds. Obviously, there is room in the game for what was sunsetted. Just make up some excuse (like how we drove the Hive off) and bring it back. We're getting the Mars weapons back so why not go all the way?

4 RepliesCan I have my dad back?

7 RepliesPS4 and Xbox 1. Once Bungie drops support for these platforms, they’ll have a lot more freedom to do what they want.
-
It is unlikely to happen. In the future we are going to new planets and moons.
-
Make it a “legacy patrol zone” or something. I miss EP.
-
Just shows the whole Vaulting BS is just that... BS.
-
2 RepliesI would love to have a refreshed version of both D1 and D2 Mars patrol zones added to the game🙂
-
and every planet. this year has proved vaulting makes 0 sense and was a lie
-
I would like to have all locations back. Gladly modular for those who don't want them. Same goes for strikes etc.
-
But there's no room! (LMAO)
-
They’ll make us buy it from them
-
Not gonna lie, it felt weird going back to Mars since the Vault. Kind of nice, though, like throwing off the blanket of a classic car.
-
3 RepliesI loved mars. However new pvp maps would be more important to me.
-
2 RepliesLike all of mars means D1 mars and d2 mars right?
-
The whole time dilation thing would even present an opportunity to mix the strikes up like how they did in Rise of Iron.
-
Now now they don't want to over perform and set themselves up for failure 😂

2 RepliesThis would be a great time to add back (if not the entire destination) the old D1 and D2 mars Crucible maps and Strikes. Crucible Maps: - Bastion (D1) - Firebase Delphi (D1) - Blind Watch (D1) - Crossroads (D1) - Skyline (D1) - Meltdown (D2) - Retribution (D2) - Solitude (D2) Strikes: - Cerberus Vae 3 (Valus Ta’aurc) - Dust Palace (Psion Flayers) - Undying Mind (Garden) - Strange Terrain (Nokris) - Will of Thousands (Xol)

This year really just shows that Bungie will lie to get their way regardless if people believe it. The game has gotten so big we need to remove parts of it, but we'll reuse any of it with no issues. Eververse funds secret missions, which we aren't going to do anymore and Eververse is staying. This year's Seasons are the best we've had, even though we need to actively prevent our team from trying anything new and exciting. We care about the mental health of players, but we're still going to double down on FOMO.

9 RepliesI also want Titan back, people said they hated it I don't know why I just loved Titan. I would love to get rid of Europa and the Leviathan and then bring back Titan and Venus from D1
-
After tracking down those sleeper nodes and getting g the cat for WLZ I swore off Mars for ever. I wouldn’t touch down on that planet for anything. But I can’t lie playing that new Heist I got a little emotional. I actually do miss it.

DCV, take it or leave it.

Maybe next season for another 10 bucks you will get to revisit another Mars lost sector :) Ty, come again loyal customer, we are listening and appreciate our little guardians! - c Bungie

There's no reason for it.

7 RepliesEdited by Deadlocked21: 12/14/2022 11:02:59 PMOkay, let me ask you a genuine question. Let’s say they do it. Everything you ask for comes true - D2’s Mars comes back in full force. The strikes, Escalation Protocol - even the Warmind campaign. What exactly are you getting out of that? PvP maps are separate from destinations. We already know this, it’s why we still have Titan and Io maps. So you don’t need Mars back to get the Mars maps back. The campaign, even if they did rework it to have a legendary difficulty, was four missions long. Four. And two of them were strikes. You’ll blow through it in an hour maximum. And the strikes themselves? We only had two - which were, again, just recycled campaign missions - and neither of them were looked upon favorably at all by the time they were sunset. Will of the Thousands was a LAUGHING STOCK because of the way it RUINED a worm god. Yeah yeah, he’s the weakest worm god, I don’t give a fück. Of the two worm gods that were killed, one was turned into the Dreadnaught itself, and the other was sneezed on by three guardians and gave up on life. Yeah, not exactly the best strikes in Destiny history. Escalation Protocol wouldn’t be relevant anymore. All the weapons are now in loot pools elsewhere and are FAR better than the originals in terms of perk pools (except the shotgun, may you rest in peace) - and armor is armor. You get it once so you can transmog it, if you even care, and you go back to the builds you already have. There’s no raids attached to it either. In D1 or D2. There’s no great exotic quest, at least there wouldn’t be anymore. Sleeper, Worldline, Polaris - they’re all in the Exotic Archive now. Even if their quests did come back, they’d still only be for new players. And if you’re about to suggest that Bungie should take effort and memory space away from NEW content in favor of D2 Mars just to have new scenery for a relaxing sparrow ride… yeah no. So again, I ask - and I’m not trying to be insulting or anything, but am legitimately curious - what would bringing D2 Mars back actually do for the game? There are things I would love to see return to the game - PvP maps, raids, the Red War campaign with a full legendary retuning to replace the dogshit new light experience - but neither Mercury nor Mars are really on that list. Especially not if it’s at the cost of new content.

Meeeehhhhhhhh

It's so the rest can be resold in another season to you.

1 ReplyBut why? We have the weapons so why do we need the patrol space? I'm not sure I want my game to run a % slower just for a patrol space that I've already spent hundreds of hours in.
