Grinded out 3 separate seasons to reach the rank of Legend (5500 glory) in Competitive Crucible and sunk hundreds of hours into PvP...
For what? To have the title handed out to people who made it to Legend once? Look, I know not everyone has the time to sit there and grind out Legend 3 separate seasons, life happens, but to hand this title out in this manner just feels...awful. Reaching Legend once is something to be proud of and I'm not taking anything away from those who achieved this milestone...but please understand just how much of a slap in the face this is to everyone who truly grinded out that title. Not only this, but to not even retain gilding upon title retirement? Bruh.
Why? Why make players feel as though their accomplishment is lesser and as though all of that time spent to earn that title was wasted? Unbroken players wore that title proudly...because it stood for all of that hard work and dedication...all of the moments of triumph and defeat along the way...Why do this?
Why did you guys not follow suit with retiring the title as announced (giving players a few more seasons to reach the milestone before retirement). Why, all of a sudden, do you guys retire the title and reduce the requirements to earn it? I really don't understand the thought process behind this decision.
This truly feels disrespectful to player time commitments. I know it's not the first time something like this has happened, but man...this one stings Bungie.
**Can a moderator move this to the D2 feedback section? Please and thank you.

Locking per user request.

3 RepliesCan you point me to my hand out? I had one season to go on the last challenge and it's gone. I don't see it nor have it unlocked?
-
This kinda reminds of the good ole days of xurned vs earned. I know it’s not the best comparison but I miss those days
-
Lol, nobody cares about Unbroken dude🤮

I literally pay zero attention to titles. I have had unbroken for years and could care less if they gave it to everyone. I have flawless as well, give that one away too. It's just some words over my characters head.
-
4 RepliesYou know you did it. What else matters? Showing others you did?
-
1 ReplyFlawless isn’t a handout, obtain platinum or ascendant isn’t a handout.
-
It's a little purple word that appears under your gamertag. Is it that big a deal? I don't care if you have one title or a dozen, they essentially serve little purpose outside of showing off accomplishments.

2 RepliesWow just wow …the whole world doesn’t revolve around you 🙄😂

19 RepliesGrow up. You’re mad cuz a title was handed out to people?? This community fails everyday
-
2 RepliesThey made the title irrelevant with a new one. So I can see why they let everyone who got legend at least once be able to acquire it. It’s just annoying when you think about the time you wasted trying to get it. Other than that, I mean it’s not that big of a deal I guess. It’s just a name plate anyways.

3 RepliesAnyone that doesn’t have a gild next to it, I just act as though they don’t have it.

Yeah I asked my husband to go legend with me but he didn’t want to grind. I actually grinded last season & got it just to have my husband also get it in the new season. He laughed at me :(

1 Replyunbroken’s gone but glorious is here to stay

An accomplishment is something you put on your resume, nobody is putting their Destiny seals on a resume. It's a video game you play with a bunch of other anonymous people, you have nothing to prove to them and trust me, they won't truly be impressed with your seal. For instance, I beat Fatalis solo, do you care?

4 RepliesThis is the exact reason I went for Flawless instead of Unbroken.
-
3 RepliesWhat are you talking about unbroken isn't even a title Wirth having it used to be prestigious but then bungie made comp casual and it no longer had meaning
-
4 RepliesYou do realize that there was never anything prestigous about that title right? Win trading was a thing since day 1. Literally 99 % if not more of the people who got unbroken were lobby win traders. That alone devalued the title to the max. The fact that Bungie di nothing about win trading back then for literally 3 years sums it up.
-
Their was also a bug to get unbroken in season of the haunted with out ever playing comp. You just had to get 100LMG kills in quick play. This was never fixed till the next season. But I feel ya I was a 2rd generation unbroken. Back when we had loss streak penaltys, win streaks reset after 5, solo que did not exist, & rank demotion protection did not exist.

It's just unbroken, who cares?
-
1 ReplyI made it to legend once but I don’t have it
-
1 ReplySunk hundreds of hours into pvp... 🤣 Would have played the same amount of time just the same LMAO
-
1 ReplyIt's all participation trophies now because "inclusion".
-
In future, don’t grind titles. They’re just a grind only.
-
1 ReplyIt’s fine, it’s not like anybody knew this was coming. I’m sure if you managed to get to legend once it’s unnecessary to do it two more times other than for the grind. If you really care that much, so long as you gilded it like 1-2 times that can show you got it “before”.

2 RepliesWhat do you mean handed out? Genuine question. Unbroken is sunset now no?
