its time bungie, we officially need a new solar system and new planets with new threats.
The lore of destiny if filled with so many different types of species and civilizations and yet we never see any of them, dont you think its about time we did, dont get me wrong the species in destiny are amazing to fight but now the story is changing to were they are fighting with us not against us, we now need an enemy that is more formidably stonger than anything we have faced so far and completely different from anything we have seen so far, somthing uniquely different.
-
I would actually like to visit some new areas of the planets we already have. Maybe it would even be easier to do this.
-
Lmao sure. Bungie can't even handle a community event.

They can't even get the core playlists together and you think they would be able to come up with a whole new star system for us to explore?
-
This realistically can't be done without making a whole new game, and I'm pretty sure nothing in the narrative is pointing towards this because we're still un--blam!- the issues at hand.
-
And with that, the size of Destiny 2 explodes by another 100gb. That or they wipe out the current system we got right now.
-
For a Sci Fi fantasy game, it’s a little odd that we haven’t explored much beyond our solar system. Yes, we’ve been to mysterious realms, but I want more of that. More eldritch horrors and mysteries that cannot be fathomed or explained. Not every aspect of Destiny needs an explanation. Leave a little wiggle room to leave us guessing, wondering. Presage was so close. I remember going in thinking something wicked and eldritch took hold. Something we haven’t yet seen, something horrific and truly dangerous. No, no. It was the Scorn. 🙄 But hearing the scraping of chains, the moans as you creep through the derelict Cabal ship was MWAH, chef’s kiss. The rest of it was one big old meh.

Edited by Syntex UK: 12/4/2022 6:47:31 PMI going to say something and i might get alot of laughs throw at me for this but here we go, look at the star trek universe for example. The borg are very similar to the darkness they destroy but also assimilate entire civilisations but some species have managed to co exist with the borg, now civilisations in the destiny universe might have been able to do the same thing with the darkness, learn to hide from it or show the darkness they are not a threat or maybe the darkness didnt see them as a threat and moved on to fight a more formidable foe.

Edited by Mara Sovereign: 12/4/2022 6:22:53 PMI'd like to see a sandbox set on The Distributary after the collapse, as a prequel. Most of the history is already written in lore. After guardian-robot smashes a little Sjur Eido / Mara Sov / Petra love triangle could be inspiring

7 RepliesAren't most of em dead?

7 RepliesI’ll settle for a new Gambit map. Just one!

Not until after we trap the witness in the dark depths of Uranus.
-
You know that the majority of the universe is like dead thanks to the Hive, Darkness, etc.

The lore of destiny if filled with so many different types of species and civilizations and yet we never see any of them
The only ones I’ve read about were in the Books of Sorrow and, well… I don’t think we’ll be seeing much of their civilizations.

I'm hopeful they take a year off after light fall and bring us a big retool of D2. Bring in multiple new locations, bring on at least two new races, and fundamentally make changes to playlists and existing locations. Use the two years to effectively add in a multi year time skip in game so things look different and more fresh. Let the other IP carry the studio financially so they can afford to be bold. This is hopeful, but not holding my breath.
-
They won’t make new PVP maps and keep bringing back D1 content. No way on earth will there be new planets and races at this point.
-
2 Replieswe haven't even explored are own yet we still have the other half of earth to go to not to mention under the ocean we have seen more from the moon then we have from earth
-
Nope, it’s time for destiny 3. Everything about this game feels really old at this point.
-
The only thing they want you to explore is the Eververse store. Lol. It’s laughable! Game is a failure.
-
That would be what they call effort and creativity - two things Bungie is no longer capable of.
-
That takes work though. It is much easier to recycle areas and enemies and keep people doing the same things over and over. I mean why work and spend a lot of money developing new compelling content when you can re-release stuff you already developed? I mean, who doesn't like going back into sunset raid areas and doing a recycled time-gated seasonal chore?
-
Or atleast the other half

2 RepliesI wanna go to pluto, I always thought in my head that there's some big temple there or crypt there for the hive or whatever.
-
20 RepliesI am amazed that all the locations we’ve been to this far have been in our own solar system. I sometimes forget that with how alien some of the environments have looked. But yeah, when you think of that it makes the game universe feel smaller. Maybe that’s the plan for the “post light & dark saga”. Maybe we’ll finally leave the solar system to be Guardians of the … rest of the Galaxy. lol
-
I'd like to see Bungie branch out into an all-original system where, they name it, the planets, pick the biomes, star type (or lack thereof....oooohhhh pitch black ice! DO IT!!)...
-
Post final shap we will probably see a D2 relaunch that will be more like A spiritual D3. It will probably only be supported by next gen and be much more advanced and take us out of our solar system. We are currently seeing the system being slowly implemented that will eventually build up to this relaunch.
