Who tf asked for a Gjallarhorn and Witherhoard nerf?

Honestly Bungie? What? Are Oryx, Rhulk and Taniks complaining about Guardians killing ads too fast? Why does PvE stuff get nerfed? Who asked you to nerf these? Fix your game instead of nerfing stuff nobody asked you to nerf.

    The same people that complained about Divinity. And Ace during Y2 when the real issue was OEM on PC. And thought Anarchy needed nerfs. And thought Traveler's Chosen, THE stat king of primary sidearms, needed Surplus. And thought Ensemble was a good perk for VWing despite the weapons functionality being dying teams. And thought NTTE needed Feeding Frenzy when it already potentially has infinite ammo. And thought half the pre-existing weapons that have catalysts needed/ deserved them more than others. We're still waiting for Thorn, TLW, Wavesplitter, and more. And thought to sunset everything from before season 10 or 11 and make us regrind it all because "power creep", only to bring back those weapons or make new ones just as, if not stronger. And thought the Orb changes were a better idea than to release all catalysts, which was the core of the issue. And more I'm probably forgetting. Edit: Regarding catalysts, proving my point AGAIN for like the 10th season in a row. Who tf uses Cloudstrike? It's a good weapon, but no one uses it, even less in PVP due to the massive flinch. It did not need nor deserve one, but I can name more than a few that did, or were more desirable.

    I think it's funny that the same people who are blaming PvP mains for these nerfs are also the ones trivializing boss encounters with fusion nade spam. I get the discontent, but I mean doesn't it get boring crutching the same weapon for literal YEARS? It might be an unpopular opinion, but nerfs are not bad. Now before you come after me, think: What's the point of playing when you're set in your loadouts and are uninterested by new loot? No wonder half of you are burnt out. Context is also important. The nerf Witherhorde is receiving isnt even that substantial, yet half of you are acting like it will be completely decimated tomorrow. [b]Nothing is stopping you from using it still[/b]. How about instead of starting arbitrary division in the forum's some of you actually read into the patch notes and use a bit of common decency. Sincerely, A concerned PvE player

    • Luke Smith: "These Guardians are having way too much fun. NERF IT!" I know, in reality, he has nothing to do with it, but I like blaming him for everything since I feel stealing ideas from WoW does not entitle one to be promoted to one of the head positions in the company.

        Witherhoards NERF once again proves to have Crucible Only Loadouts or weapons. Have a select few Exotics that are crucible Exclusive, like Last Word for example. It was nerfed for the sole purpose of PvP players complaining that they kept dying...because they stood in a taken circle until they died. Ghorn nerf was completely not needed and never asked for.

          • I tired of constant nerfs in both pvp and pve, Bungie don't understand what players want. We want more strong and interesting things to use, not to nerf everything we liked so we forced to use different things. Sure, some things should be nerfed, mainly if they add something new and it's busted, but not nerfing old weapons. Like they killed chaperone and it was the same for like 3 years and because they nerfed hell out of other weapons chaperone claimed the top and then got butchered. Bungie, if you want to shift meta don't nerf old weapons and archetypes, just buff weak ones, because with the current system meta is super strict, it's not fun at all, i want at least half of our weaponry to be viable, not less than a 10% for a season. It's not variety, it's limitations. If I never liked sidearms why I'm forced to use them? Even if this meta is going to last only a season I'm still not going to enjoy it, at least give me something different to use, not only sidearms.

            • I think it's funny how they say that "this is overused so we are going to nerf it." Have they thought why something is overused? Maybe because all the content is the same. If the content was varied, then maybe people would use different things.

                  Gjallarhorn is a Rocket Launcher that creates a swarm of mini seeker rockets upon exploding. Did Bungie actually forget that it is designed to be OP? As for who asked for the nerfs? Clearly nobody sane.

                      • For PvP, yeah Witherhoard needed to be toned down. Not to mention the number of times dying to it when not even in it is completely obnoxious. seeing my ghost literally feet away from it wondering how I still died to it... Because its area of effect isn't clearly defined enough. and what is defined still has an effective radius around that. For PvE, I don't feel the nerf was needed. Same with Gjallarhorn. It is still used a lot though it was nerfed already. Bungie doesn't understand why things are used and nerfing things based on usage is dumb.

                        • It’s because they’re giving us GL and rocket launcher mods next season coming up.. they always do that annoying bs , we’re not allowed to have powerful weapons, trust me , they don’t even care that we complain , they gonna do it regardless, they have been for years. I honestly have just learned to not even care anymore on the positive side I’m sure there’s gonna be a strong build to make up for it.

                        • Gjallarhorn was made OP to sell the 30th anniversary DLC. Bungie probably noticed that a certain % of active players have it and the sales for it are becoming less and less.. Theres your reason. Don’t worry as they’ll put something broken back in the new DLC because that needs to be sold as well. Witherhoard nerf is more deserved i think, but 40% is a lot. What’s wrong with a few % and maybe a few more % after a couple of weeks if the desired effect is not reached?

                        • Players having fun in a casual pve looter shooter can't happen! That's just against the rules apparently. That's what these keks always do. Nerf fun stuff and buff unfun trash that noone uses and will never use just to make it seem like they buffed more than they nerfed. Why they have this "competitive" idea behind this casual pve looter shooter with seeking "balance" all the time is mind blowing to me. Just because some 24/7 playing streamers don't feel challenged enough, Bungie shouldn't simply turn everything remotely useful into trash. Just to give the 20 streamers who are left playing this game feel more "challenged". And all that based on usage numbers. High usage = broken = nerf apparently. Go back to dev school srsly.
