So frickin’ tired of some group or another stealing the gender of existing characters! Just once I’d like to see them create new characters with given dispositions they want to give them instead of hijacking existing characters. If they put in the effort to create new characters with their desired traits I would totally support that.

Let's make a sequel to the movie about Freddie Mercury except he's straight....... Btw I know all these posts are old but I'm just bored af rn and sometimes we need a little humour to realize that being inclusive and being invasive are two different things. Mind you I'm in full support of people being who they are and I absolutely love a rebel with a cause but if you're going to defend a lazy and unimaginative alteration of what was already two really well written characters instead of bungie giving us two new characters with their own intimate relationship story with actual game content to keep player's interested in continued play then I'm going to hit you with some smart remarks about how Freddie Mercury will never be portrayed as straight and Malcolm X will never be white so stop changing already existing stories and honor the multiple groups of people that all exist together on this planet with their own original and equally exciting stories with their own new and unique heroes.

I never understood when people say things like this. If he had gotten into a straight relationship would you think they’re hijacking his character to be heterosexual? Probably not, it'd just be him getting into a relationship. Someone coming out as gay in a movie or game should be literally 0% less surprising than someone coming out as straight
