52 Kings Fall Clears and NO Touch of Malice
Can there be some bad luck insurance for raid weapons? I’ve cleared Kingsfall 52 times and still don’t have TOM. My clan mates are nice enough to run the boss 3 times, but this is getting out of hand. There should be some increasing scale for a chance of a drop. Please fix this problem. I am not the only one.

I been lucky, got it on my 3rd run. However, VM from VoG? 30 odd runs and still ain't got it. Just remember, it's annoying yes, but you've probably got something someone else would give their teeth to have. Some clan m8s o mine, 60 maybe 70 odd runs of KF, they ain't got tom either. When I got mine, they nearly dismissed me, lol.

I'm at 21 looted clears here. I stopped thinking Deepsight guns exist, I haven't even began to fathom how much more I will need to grind for an exotic. Can't even get the ability to craft the guns.

This type of stuff needs to be changed in Destiny. I had the same issue with the rocket launcher from deep stone crypt. All clan members had it, and were happy to help do runs as we were doing challenges, but after that it just wasn’t fun so we stopped and I never got it. After that I took a break from Destiny and played ffxiv for a while. They have a pretty good system with this type of thing. Firstly they have a roll system so loot that drops you just randomly roll a number and highest wins it. So if you’re running with the same raid team you it’s just a matter of time before you get it. I think this could be added into Destiny, I dunno why but I find it’s exciting to roll for loot. On top of that they also have a token system which basically gives you a currency after a clear. so if have really bad rng you can just buy the items after a number of clears. I think both could be added to Destiny in some form. And will fix these bad rng problems players have.

I’ve cleared king’s fall raid over a dozen times and still not TOM. But a new clan member got it on the first run!! WTF? 😂🫠

6 RepliesThis isn’t a troll. It’s a legitimate tactic. Don’t do the raid for like a month. Then you’ll get it first time. It’s because bungie has an algorithm where it will give you the raid exotic if you look new to it to their algorithm. Just to try and get you hooked. I’m serious. I do this with all the raids

Bungie really needs to make it to where only fully cleared raids count. FYI clears mean jack -blam!-. Lootable clears are tall that matter.

I got the raid title and flawless run and still no touch of malice. This exotic gun what is holding me on to the game at this point.

20 RepliesThere already is bad luck protection for all raids . Unfortunately the drop rate starts between 3-5% and goes up by 1% each week on your 1st clear only. So at this point in time you only have a 13-15% chance and to reach 100% you'd have to do 1 clear each week for the next year and a half. I had this confirmed by a bungie monitor a while back inba separate thread.

After earning the gun in D1, its absurd that its not at least quest based like it originally was. RNG raid exotics truly are the only reason why I skip raiding in this game. I just don't see how anyone gets any enjoyment out of a system like that. There's no way to subvert RNG that pretty much any modern online game offers. I like raiding but sheer dumb luck for the highest endgame challenge is just silly.
