Pre 3.0 they were actually good and could ohk in pvp with practice and landing directly at their feet. Then bungie over nerfed them like a lot of grenades.
I suspect it's largely because of void weakness and nothing manticals.

Pre 3.0they just consistency issues. The nades made every encounter rng lol.

Nothing manacles give you the charged nade without needing to change. Problem is that the charged version of the nade is worse than the uncharged.

I just wish nothing manacles didn't nerf them because I love the double nade charge.

They definitely need something. Nothing manacles were awesome in d1, but they feel like I'm just throwing wet farts in PvP now.
