Identities (Just in case you need help remembering bungie because it seems like you done gone forgot)
Void, life sucking, devour activating at will vampire. Bring back life steal melee and make devour activate on rift cast like invis with dodge and barricade and over shield.
Solar, flying fiery angel of death or healing angel of grace. Add Phoenix dive to Icarus dash fragment and shorten cool down, increase PVE damage of daybreak (by a lot) reverse airborne effectiveness changes, Return healing grenade to warlock exclusive or add solar buddy on rift cast, make it so heat rises doesn't have so many drawbacks. (Lose grenade, still not 100% in air accuracy, slower in air while heat rises is active, no extra resilience, show on radar. Once element of surprise is gone it's worthless)
Arc, Lightning god emperor Palpatine or damage dealing Kamahameha king. (Seriously lacking here)
Lost exclusivity to ionic traces. Lost exclusivity to arc web / jolt. Got a new melee and nothing else. Needs to have blink as a movement option because it just fits the sub class. If chaos reach is to take longer to dump out that damage then it should do more as a trade off.
Stasis, pretty good.
Buff rift cast speed

14 RepliesEdited by NotCreative123: 11/22/2022 3:21:27 PMStasis is the least used Warlock Subclass in PVP. It needs the most help. Bungie is buffing Coldsnap grenades and the Fragment makes Primary weapons deal increased damage to Stasis crystals. Solar Warlock is already used a fair amount and doesn't need buffs to be viable. Arc Warlock and Void could be buffed, because their usage rates are lower than they should be. Bungie is buffing both Nova Bomb and Chaos Reach with the update (and probably the cooldown of Stormtrance). They are also buffing the base Arc Warlock melee range.

Warlocks are well balanced … Nerf everything else that is too strong

As a Warlock main I'm finding it harder and harder to play as a one. Hunter's and Titans can do everything Warlocks can do but usually better with the exception of Well of course. I don't want to be a floaty well boy. It's boring.

6 RepliesWarlock used to be the glass cannon of destiny, now it’s glass without the cannon. People will claim support when it’s only decent class specific support capability is well (and well does nothing but trivialize any encounter with a mind-numbingly boring excuse for “play style” that realistically only exists to make bubble useless in any encounter). Void: Just to recap, Titans and hunters both have three ways of activating their class-specific buffs within their kits (Titan get OF from both melees and an aspect, hunter gets three aspects with unique ways of invising) as well as ways to further benefit from having their buffs active (titans get increased Grenade regenc resetting is timer, buffed melee, etc with an aspect, and hunters gain their weakening melee or melee energy back on invising themselves and allies). Warlocks have ONE way within their class kit to activate devour and ZERO ways of further benefitting from having it active. Solar: Being in air is a death sentence, and nobody asked to be relegated to support. It’s fine, but the healer play style is brain melting. All classes have healing nades which just pushes that identity out the door anyways. Tie aspects rely on being in-air to be fully effective but as stated before, being in air is a death sentence outside of patrols. Also the idea of having to consume a grenade to use any amount of an aspect is strictly unfair when no other class has that kind of penalty. There are no healer-specific aspects, so no real healer identity. There is the grenade aspect for the pyro aspect of it but it’s useless when the aspect that seems to work best with it relies on consuming the grenade you’re buffing. Like what kind of logic is that? We could also talk about how Daybreak is the worst super in the game (PvE), but you know, nobody cares clearly. Not to mention how most encounters seem designed around Well usage, promoting passively and taking any difficulty out of damage phases. Arc: Emporer Palpatine? More like lord of wet noodles. Both supers are bad. Chaos can’t figure out if it’s damage or ad clear, and the fact that it’s trying to be both is what’s making it bad. Stormtrance is good for the lowest of the low, but anything above a red bar takes a stupid amount of time to kill. I’m not expecting it to be a boss melter, but it better melt the regular enemies and it has a hard time doing even that sometimes. Ionic blink is mid, come at me lol. Melee aspects are stupid, just make it a melee and stop being lazy. It should at the very least benefit further from being amplified like the other melees. Titans somehow got the grenade aspect, which I’m not complaining, but they are better at being the space wizards than the space wizards lol. The melee is cool but way too risky in higher level content. Like why are we trying to make the mage class front line here? It should’ve been a midrange storm in front, not a “I want to get close enough to smell your toes” type of thing. Arc soul is mid, passive, and boring. Electrostatic surge is alright, I just wish there were most ways to benefit from being amped up. Like more ability buffs than just melees. Warlocks used to be based around chain lightning and now the other classes have just as easy access to it and actually do a much better job of it. No flavor or unique quirks were added to compensate everything else being just as easy to use or get on any of class. Stasis: Extremely overrated, literally the least used Warlock subclass. Why wait for one guy to be frozen when in half the time I could kill five more on any other subclass? No shatter ability either for whatever reason. All abilities are mid at best and lack any real flair but at least keep in line with warlocks being freezing experts. Bleak watcher is too slow to freeze, and again, why wait for a freeze when any other subclass can outright kill with a grenade? The super is awful outside of time where enemies are massively clumped together, and relies on an aspect to be decent at any kind of ad clear. Honestly stasis as a whole needs a whole entire rework. Every aspect, every ability, the wholes element. In the way it’s supposed to work now, there is no way they’d ever make it even remotely powerful for fear of squeakers doing their usual screech because they can’t ape anymore. I think they are doing Stasis 2.0 next season based off of some wording they used in some interviews. All of the stasis subclasses need major help and reworks to be even near the level of light 3.0.

Buff them, period. Idgaf about pvp, but when I start to feel like a wet noodle in PvE, there's definitely a problem

1 ReplyWarlocks are supposed to be those students of the arcane... They'd go to any lengths for the knowledge to open Pandora's box... Only to be blinded and last think, " Uh-oh..." I hate what has happened to warlock in three point oh! The synergies are awful in general... Tell me the warlock is the only class I that can stack buffs and dmg and I'd be like, "oh yeah- that makes sense... Tell me their the only class to self-dmg and even that would make sense." But, where they sit now is just plain stupid. They don't feel like Warlocks any longer. They are just disadvantaged floofy gown-clowns! Good work Bungie.

5 RepliesThey need PvE buffs too so you're not stuck with either stasis or well as the best viable options for endgame content like raids. The buffs they're giving are a joke that won't affect squat and we all know it. Wells and stasis are all you'll see next season until some actual changes are made.

Agreed. The identity and place of warlock seems really vague right now after having several historically warlock specific perks given to the other classes with little to nothing in return. That idea about devour on standard void rift cast is a good idea. It makes sense given the other class abilities. I suppose our current comparison is the child of the old gods, but it would be nice to have the aspect changed to be swappable or otherwise setup differently.

Look I agree with everything you probably said(truth is I didn’t read it) but it’s not hunters so it won’t get buffed.

2 Repliescut ae, nerf the electric slide, buff the arc subclass a little bit, the warlock would be fine.

1 ReplyEvery warlock class needs to have blink as an option. The mobility is what kills the class and given us blink users more options would make me play more than void.

Stasis super needs a pve damage buff as well as nova warp and bomb

5 RepliesOnly pvp change Warlocks need is a nerf to the Lightning Surge melee, other than that they are fine, no need to make the Warlocks the next problem by buffing them.

You want milk with that cookie? I'm using my warlock just fine in IB, the arc buddy op and that slide melee oofff

Edited by The Hermit IX: 11/22/2022 8:20:51 AMI agree 100%. Warlocks aren’t a viable choice in PVP at all and that’s why they’re numbers are so low. They simply don’t have an identity in PVP.
-
Warlocks are the PVE work horse! Best builds and healing methods. For pvp would be nice is they were a little better maybe faster ability cool downs 🤷♂️ hopefully strand will be good!?

7 RepliesPlayed against some really really strong warlocks recently.. had 3 stasis warlocks against me and they would throw them turrets into lanes and as you shoot them the warlocks shoot you, then when you finally do attack them they bloody freeze you and slap you to death. Good players can run riot with warlocks in pvp and bad players can make a thread 👀✌️
