I took a break from destiny, and have been playing a bit since the recent FOTL. I remember talk in the past about duplicate drop protection, and if I remember correctly, it was mentioned that when getting random exotic drops, or random exotic engrams from Xur, that it would be more likely to get an exotic that you don’t already have. This isn’t a whine about “I keep getting the same thing over and over!” I’m more just curious because I have been getting a lot of the same items in a row, of exotics I already have, while there are several that I don’t have. Obviously this only applies to random open-world drops, and random Xur engrams, I’m not talking about specific loot pools.
