The Warlock's (Idiot) guide to PVP
1. Accept the fact that you are only playing to be Hunter target practice
2. See No. 1
3. Equip your warlock, and choose anything you want as armour and weaponry, as it makes no difference, as Hunters are going to destroy you.
4. Make sure as your spawning in, a hunter is nearby to arc staff your -blam!- before the animation is complete
5. -blam!- around trying to kill something whilst you get shot to -blam!- by a sidearm from someone playing pve, in destiny 1, 8 years ago! - stray bullet and all that.
6. Frantically run around looking for your next hunter and encourage him to unleash armagedon on you, failing that break it up with a titan going intercontinental ballistic missile at you.
7. Don't go near anything that's not Freelance.
If you do decide to go down the other route, Don your gimp mask, tighten your man bits into a rusty old vice, covered in hot chilli sauce, and get a family member to pour excrement over you every few mins while your playing, your obviously the kind of player who enjoys torture, you know that guy of Hellraiser who liked having hooks and stuff pull your scrotum to pieces.
8. Accept the fact that the only rewards you'll receive for playing is the "Out of Bounds" sub machine gun
9. Click your Ruby red slippers together 3 times, close your eyes and say out loud the following:
"I WISH I WAS A HUNTER"
10. Admit defeat, and change your class to Hunter
11. Enjoy being permanently invisible, being able to weild your staff at 33 million miles per hour, killing anything within a 15 mile radius, throw a staff that melts Warlocks at a sub atomic level, I'm talking Quarks and stuff and lastly golden gun anything from a rabbit to Paddington bear!
12. Now go look for those cheap, cheesy good for nuffin, think they're it! Warlocks, they've got it coming, and yesterday one looked at you in a funny way, and tried to steal your girlfriend, so it's def payback time.
There you have it, that's all you need to know about being a worthless warlock in pvp
Of course you can kid yourself by putting on void walker and throwing a few nova bombs (when the game isn't telling you to play as Arc to get pinnacles)
But we all know going arc on warlock is as futile as Donald Trump being re-elected.
Time to stop reading this post, go delete your warlock, and have a strong chat with yourself about why the fk didn't you just pick Hunter as your class?

That's funny. Last time I did IB on all three characters (last season) my Titan was straight up easy mode. Hunter was the worst of all three even though I play Hunter most of the seasons in D2. Not that I did well on any class, really. The quick boost and shoulder charge on Titan just makes it easier to get out of trouble in pvp. Warlock is fine. You just have to play like a warlock. That means be smart and use your exotics and abilities. Pvp in Destiny will always be unbalanced. That's why sbmm is necessary in this game. If you actually stay in and relax for a while sbmm will place you in a better bracket for you. Believe me, everyone -blam!- your post and isn't a complete noob knows you just aren't very good. If you get on a Hunter you'll find you're still having problems.

1 Reply1. Warlocks aren’t as bad as people make them out to be. The sooner more players realize that, the better. Yes, they could use some buffs in some departments, but to think warlocks are bad in pvp is completely asinine.

5 RepliesI dunno IB this week is being ruled by Titans and storm grenade spamming. Hunters are the least of anyones problems when 3 storms fan out an area. Lol they die too haha.

As a hunter main, I can't speak to your warlock plight. I will say, this week in Iron Banner, I got my -blam!- trounced at every turn, class be damned. It was a humbling experience, to be sure, but I finished my Iron Lord seal and had fun just the same. I'm not a masochist, not really my thing, but I try not to take things too serious and let side objectives complete themselves.

Like Arc Warlocks complaining about Void Warlocks, and Void Warlocks complaining about Solar Warlocks. We could keep dividing into smaller and smaller safe spaces, too. OK, divide by subclass, Void, Arc, Solar. Then divide by weapon type(no fair, he's good with hand cannons/ I use auto) Then by individual weapon(no fair he uses 450s, I use a 600) Then shotgun/sniper/fusion Until you only get matched up with other Warlocks using the exact same subclass, same grenade, same armor stats, same weapons, with the same perks, running the same exact mods, and see what they come up with to blame then. ...His TV is bigger than mine!!! 😉👍 Don't get me wrong, [b]War[/b]locks are great... in the right hands Problem is the ones who aren't make the most noise, making all of them look bad. Kinda feel bad for good Warlocks getting a bad rep cuz the noisy one's . There's [u][b]WAR[/b][/u]locks and then there's [b][u]WOE[/u][/b]locks ...as in Woe(is me)locks I LOVE [i]War[/i]locks... the other guys?... not so much Peace n Love

1. Accept that if anything goes right for your class, it will get dogpiled by hunters until it gets its throat slit. 2. Equip Void and Blink, and go play PvE -blam!- like strikes with Blink until you're very familiar with how it works and what you can do with it. Several days, and don't switch off. 3. Equip Vigilance Wing or syncopation with as much range as possible. 4. Equip Brigand's Law with as much range as you can 5. Equip Astrocyte Verse. 6. Play 3 rounds of Crucible to fulfill your Bungie chores. 7. Wait for the community to call for Warlock Blink to be crushed even harder than it is. 8. Realize that it's always going to suck because it's Destiny PvP and those people that enjoy it are just defending it due to the sunk cost fallacy. It will always be garbage. 9. Go play a halfway competent PvP game for PvP.

Even with 10 Resil I'm getting 1-tapped in melee by some Hunters and most Titans, but I'm only allowed to 1-tap anything if I can Surge into a cluster or a low-Resil fellow Warlock, or pop Super. Warlocks really have to leave half their Class fantasy at the door to even enter PvP, and neither Hunters nor Titans have to match that.

Love the idiots in here even saying that warlock needs to get nerfed despite the nerf that's already coming, DESPITE the fact that it's entire class has a smaller population than just void hunters alone.

If warlocks could stay in first person for the entirety of the new arc slide melee it could go a long way in my opinion it's disorienting to try and figure out where someone went after the camera switches perspective
