      • After 600+ hours in elden ring, It is worth it. Very fun and intensifying. If you have a great gaming skill, you probably would want to get it. Unless you don't want to be stressed, then i guess you do the opposite. Great graphics as well.

        • I heard the game was hard so I never got it. I really only play games for the story and the gameplay

              • After watching my husband play it I’d say it would be worth it. A lot of builds, bosses, places to explore and more. I just personally like it cause of how mad my husband gets at some of the bosses!

              • TLDR) if you or a loved one is diagnosed with: enjoying ds3, open worlds, and is willing to wait for a potentially good dlc, you may be entitled to play Elden ring Ok so basically elden ring literally just had dark souls 3 combat system (a lot of frame data was also pulled from that game to make weapons and enemies). If you like dark souls 3 then go for it if not then don’t It has problems, my main one is that most of the bosses are complete bs so you typically counter it with your own bs which doesn’t feel as great as just getting good at a fight like in ds3. The big thing outside of that is if you like open world games. If you don’t like exploring without a guaranteed reward for doing so every time then you should probably skip the game. It has a lot of “this place is cool but there isn’t much of a point to it” throughout the world It is getting a dlc soon so I would wait until that drops and people start making reviews of it, because even though it will probably be expensive for the amount of content you get, typically the quality more than makes up for the cost.

I see a mix of opinions here- I love it- the discouraging factor of dying a lot turns people off- but once you learn how to start "beating" the game so-to-speak, your experience improves dramatically. You will still die a lot. The biggest part of any souls experience is the exploration and discovery, the game points you towards bosses that are usually meant to serve as level gates and progress milestones, and if you are underleveled you will have a bad time unless you are ridiculously good at this type of game. My criticism: open world is a bit over played, some enemies that seem overly difficult seem to reward little as far as "xp" ocassionally. Most of the time you will get weapons and spells that you are unable to use due to the stat requirements, but you will gain the levels necessary for things online with your build; its not always clear what builds will work for you. Equipped weight frustrates me but is also a challenge in itself. My praise: the game respects you enough to figure it out on your own, and the feeling of downing a major boss after struggling against it gives such a sense of achievement in game. Additionally the story and world are awesome, the lore is deep and thick, and the visuals are stunning beyond compare. Combat feels awesome once you manage to work out the combos and when to attack. The feeling of managing a shield parry on a major boss makes you feel like an absolute badass. I strongly recommend it- remember to have patience, and if a specific area confounds you or beats you back; you can always go somewhere else in the open world to level or explore.

                • I personally have had a pretty hard time getting into it. -The moment to moment gameplay is very nice. It feels really smooth, and combat is really well made—possibly the best its ever been. -The bosses seem okay. I haven’t fought too many of them, but they all seemed to be a pretty nice difficulty. -The legacy dungeons were alright—or rather the first one was. It wasn’t quite as interesting as a traditional Soulsborne level, but it was alright. -The open world—for me at least—is a drag. So far I haven’t found a single piece of gear better than my starter gear, and none of the mini-dungeons have been particularly interesting, which makes it really hard to want to bother exploring. I’m in the minority, though. Most folk are loving it.
