Either you are grossly underestimating the power of Devour or you are just bad. I don't agree with this at all. Overshield isn't very strong and Invis is only good if you are: 1. Not using Nightstalker and are instead on any other subclass with assassins cowl 2. Pigeonholed into using an invis exotic otherwise it does literally nothing. Devour gives you full health on EVERY KILL and 10% grenade energy on EVERY KILL. Giving away devour for free is a moronic idea, it requiring an exotic is balanced.

  • Lol what a joke. Also if you're getting invis on dodge then you are on night stalker. That's what we're talking about here dude, the void verbs that each class gets to specialize in. Hunter void class verb. Invis. Titan void class verb. Over shield. Warlock void class verb. Devour. Void hunters and void titans get to activate their verbs just by using their melee and class ability. Warlocks should not have to use an exotic and a specific rift to do the same but with devour. Also invis and over shields will help you win a 1v1 because you enter the engagement with an advantage (either being invisible for first shot or positioning advantage or on titan a health advantage with over shield) devour only come into play after the fact and does nothing to help you win that 1v1 engagement.

  • I somewhat agree but to make it balanced they would gut part of the ability and devour doesn't help you win the fight it helps you for getting a kill. They function differently and the benefits of devour for pve highly outweigh the others. I would just add back the eat nade ability.

    Devour was never a problem and has never been a problem. Can't say the same for invis.

  • Correct it hasn't been a problem but I don't want it to become one. It is very powerful. Like I said add back the eat nade ability along with the boots it would be good. Any more would be too much.

  • Invise is gunna get nerfed that already said this, if oversheild pops up more(yes it is) it will get a nerf for pvp. Devour is actually balanced one of the 2 for pvp.

  • Devour it self is balanced yes but not how we go about activating it. Having to choke down the fact of using a specific exotic (which stops me using one that's actually good) and a specific rift (which is by far the lesser one in pvp) is just too much downside for what devour is. Especially when perks that are just flat out better to help you win a fight in pvp (invis and over shield) get free activation on class ability deployment or melee usage like smoke and shield throw. Pvp has so many 1 shots and quick ttks that it's not going to be a problem. What it would be nice for though is being damaged, placing a rift and getting put on full health with devour activation. That would also lend itself to justifying rifts horribly slow casting animation, longest cool down and highest point cost for recovery mods.
