Why do we get Crucible weapons during Iron Banner?
I am not a big PVP fan, but I do enjoy Iron Banner. What is the point of chasing weapons during this limited event if I get more loot from another activity that available daily. Shouldn't more Iron Banner loot drop from Iron Banner activity.

Yeah I'm pretty certain most of my IB weapons from the last time were from the rank up engrams and track, and the pinnacle challenges (btw did all 4 challenges for two chars and two on the third and only got 2 pieces of armor, 6 were energy weapons, thats some really bad "luck") barely got any from actual matches.

Edited by FuzzyWolf: 11/17/2022 7:05:01 PMI'm definitely down to have a double chance for iron banner loot by taking the chance of normal crucible loot away I mean with how few times ib was up this season it would be fair especially since Bungie thinks people are rich with shards with trials weapon and ib weapons costing 100 shards to focus and no drop protection for perks I mean I personally have used 1000s of shards for literally the same perk rolls with minor barrel/mag changes I mean it took me around 5000+ shards to get a rapid hit kill clip messenger

It’s not crucible weapons… it’s Out of Bounds. Like two copies per match.

Iron Banner guns do drop, they just don't drop as much as the Crucible smg. I would put that ghost mod on for more Crucible weapon drops, that way you might get three smg's and one IB gun.

5 RepliesPeople didn't like the individual quests for Iron Banner. So Bungie removed them in order to spend that time forcing their political / social agenda in each TWAB, Tweet, post and update.

For whatever reason, Bungie chose to stagnate Iron Banana years ago and never really looked back. Most developers at least [i]seem[/i] like they try to keep everything relevant in game, but for some reason Bungie just said "screw it" and they reflected on it like once, which gave some new weapons - that are all garbage. Most developers, when creating a limited event, tend to have better rewards for those events because they understand that its kind of pointless otherwise, unless its ALOT of fun. Bungie has put no effort towards making it a better experience for people in any way really. The "improvements" didn't change anything beyond adding different modes. I guess I.B. is good for shards, so that's a mild bonus, but they really seem to have zero desire to make things really functional or fun, so I don't even know why they're in the business at this point, minus money. Maybe if they didn't spend all their money on making a TON of physical merchandise that few people actually buy (just look at the ridiculous prices) they'd have money for actual development so the game can function and stay relevant, so things like I.B. can be enjoyable or remotely rewarding. They don't seem to understand what their job actually is unfortunately, at least oversight doesn't. I can't hold the working developers responsible for the poor management they have no choice but to listen to. They're the real problem. Their management is absolutely unqualified, given the state of the game.

They usually drop pretty frequently. It’s usually 1 IB and 1 Crucible at the end of each match with Crucible Prosperity on. I’ve gotten up to 5 before though.

1 ReplySo far as I can tell the Iron Banner loot isn’t competing with Crucible drops for reward slots. You have a % chance of getting Crucible drops and a % chance of getting Iron Banner drops. One does not take away from the other. You could get neither, could get one, could get both. What should be changed is the abysmal Iron Banner drop rate. Rank up engrams are good and all, but getting more general randomised loot would be good too. Make each match played a bit more rewarding.

Because iron banner is just the same pvp experience but with a wolf sticker on it. Even the loot doesnt know this is an event.
