Seems fair enough cos having to use an exotic to just do whatever everyone else can to activate their verb is pretty gross.

1 ReplyThe fact it requires an ability kill or an exotic equipped to activate means it should either. Be buffed to be worth the extra effort. Or Be activated on rift cast and secant filaments should be reworked.
-
3 RepliesNah it’s good the way it is. I’ve had enough of the health regen from last season. This is coming from a void warlock main
-
Edited by Ghostfire239: 11/17/2022 4:31:01 PMI can agree with this. Warlocks should have a way to activate devour without a kill. I preferred the old way of consuming your grenade but I guess that clashes with chaos accelerant. Your idea works, but they would need to make secant filaments do something else.
-
I think it's fine. Makes u able to use Empower Rift with the Boots more. But if you are not using the Boots, get a Void kill, activate Devour and place empower Rift. It's kind of redundant really. Maybe have the Boots grant a +10 Recovery so you can Get Rift faster.

Edited by SouLFeeS: 11/16/2022 6:00:36 PMI don’t think OPs point is that devour sucks. I think the point is that it’s only going to shine if you get to the second kill, and then keep killing until you’re safe. So, comparing to invis and overshield, forcing use of an exotic to make devour immediately commensurate to other classes is just sacrificing balance for the existence of an exotic warlocks shouldn’t need. Granting devour on rift would move warlocks closer to the action with a much more useful exotic equipped, which is just better for everyone.

Seems fair enough cos having to use an exotic to just do whatever everyone else can to activate their verb is pretty gross.
Maybe a new class ability. Like the hunter radiant dodge. Could even give it to all nearby teammates and be a support ability like bastion and radiant dodge.

Nah, you should be able to eat it like you used to. You are giving up your grenade in exchange for health. Oddly enough, you get more benefits as a Hunter jumping to the side or as a Titan poping a wall out of your shoulder and you still get to keep both your melee and grenade 🤷

While I would like that, sacant filaments do that job quite nicely. Been using this build with it and it's destroying the crucible.

4 RepliesI've mained Hunter all year, but have been a Lock for most of the game and have put in a lot of time with Woidwalker 3.0. I really don't think this is totally necessary. Don't get me wrong - there's a massive issue running through a lot of the Warlock playstyle where abilities require kills to activate, both in terms of subclass abilities and exotic armor perks. However, I don't think this is something we need too badly. Devour is incredibly strong, especially in PvE, so I think its okay for that abilitty to require either A.) a kill, or B.) an exotic to gain passively. Plus, I'd much rather them spend their development time making something new if they were going to grant new aspects or abilities. Too much of the Warlock kit is already same-y, and in general feels very uninspired. A good example is the new Exotic Helmet, Fallen Sunstar. Its not bad at all -- the issue is that it just fills the same role as Crown of Tempests (but better) in giving you the option for an ability heavy playstyle. They could've easily just buffed Crown of Tempests to give it the same utility the Sunstar provides, but instead they just wasted a new exotic on it. Its very underwhelming. With all that said, I don't see a reason to ask for something like this. Sure, it'd be a nice to have thing, but there's enough ways to proc Devour between the Feed the Void, Echo of Starvation, and Secant Filaments. No need to waste more time and another ability to do yet another thing that we can already do.

20 RepliesI feel like devour is far stronger than invis and overshield, so it makes sense that activation isn’t tied to our class ability.
-
7 RepliesAnd titan should recharge overshield after kill and hunter regain invis after final blow Seems fair enough

4 RepliesWarlock main. We don't need our rift to proc devour. It's really easy to keep devour going for extended periods of time. Use secant filaments with an empowering rift to proc devour. It also grants overload shot for any weapon without an intrinsic champion perk.
-
1 ReplyI agree with this. Warlocks did lose a lot of uniqueness with the 3.0s and the other classes can proc their verbs from class abilities so I would say this is more than a fair ask unlike some of the other posts I see.

2 RepliesEdited by Infamous067: 11/16/2022 1:00:55 PMHonestly I think void is fine, the only thing the class really needs is a buff to chaos accelerant by granting an extra slot and allow hand helds to one shot again. That literally all this class needs
-
3 RepliesLmaoooo want healing on more healing or weapon damage and healing... just stop
-
4 RepliesMaybe they could add another class ability to Voidwalker that, instead of casting a Rift, grants Devour, like the Hunter Dodge on Gunslinger that grants Radiant.
-
9 RepliesEither you are grossly underestimating the power of Devour or you are just bad. I don't agree with this at all. Overshield isn't very strong and Invis is only good if you are: 1. Not using Nightstalker and are instead on any other subclass with assassins cowl 2. Pigeonholed into using an invis exotic otherwise it does literally nothing. Devour gives you full health on EVERY KILL and 10% grenade energy on EVERY KILL. Giving away devour for free is a moronic idea, it requiring an exotic is balanced.

I would personally like either void or arc get a teleport dash skill replacement. Preferably on arc but I can see it being upsetting to pvp players having a warlock teleport forward with a dash then teleport again to nuke your team with that melee. (May have done it once or twice)... But for real it might give that one exotic that creates an arc discharge on skill a reason to exist. You'd think at least that world jolt anyone caught in it with a double burst that causes the jolted targets to arc damage to near by targets. Combine that with a warp dash and it's like bombardiers for warlocks

15 RepliesBut theres boots for that
-
3 RepliesBut we can extend devour. It's also better than oversheild and invis for pve. Pvp it needs the eat nade back.
-
As a hunter who hates whinelocks this is a fair argument
-
1 ReplyNah warlocks are still paying for their sins from D1 😂

1 ReplyEdited by Interpol89: 11/16/2022 12:34:13 AMI would go back to being a voidwalker if bungie gave us back our HHSN that one shots guardians.

4 RepliesMan have I got good news for you:
Secant Filaments
