The hive are creatures of enormous potential. Though they were born from the lowest of the low, they have risen up to be worthy of enemies, although not to me. I wonder what happened to Fundament, or Taox. But there is no reason to care. Even though they have risen, I see only three worthy of being called disciples. One has betrayed The Witness. She will pay the price. The other lost his crown, and his life. But that’s not what I wanted to talk about. I wanted to give knowledge on the hive for anyone unlucky to befall these texts. The hive are creatures of enormous potential, being able to rival even the strongest of enemies, solely because of their sword logic.
What is sword logic, you may ask? It is a way and the principle logic that all things follow in the universe. The sword logic states that anything deserving of their life in the universe must prove their strength. Anything stronger should die, for they have not proven their strength. Such is the nature of the hive, who see death as a way to sharpen their blades and hone their power. The sword logic also states that killing will make you stronger, and the more you kill, the more you prove that you should exist, and the more you will exist. And you will keep existing. You can also get an ascendant throne from the sword logic, which is pretty nice. I need no throne, for I am king serving under someone higher and worthier of existence more than me.
The Hive, sadly, have a weakness, which is the same logic that they follow. You see, while death makes them stronger, it also presents their weakness. The sword logic uses one blade that grows in power as the entity proves their existence. But their blades can be used against them. Fascinating really. And the guardians follow the sword logic everyday, proving their existence by killing their enemies and weakening them.
Toland told me about a certain guardian who fought oryx and killed him. That king. I always liked him. He understood the sword logic truly, and lived it. How did that guardian manage to find light in the deepest parts of the dreadnaught? Truly, they are fascinating. I will need to discuss more with Toland, although he doesn’t seem to like me. I am, after all, a disciple of The Witness, and he is…Toland. Hopefully, you learned more about the hive, whoever you are. But know this. The only threat that you need worry about is yourself. Cling to salvation, as I have. There is no power greater, and no logic truer than the logic and the power of the Witness.
