Got booted by error codes and I get suspended for it. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to go back to the drawing board. It’s quickplay not comp not trials not something that gives good rewards just something to pass the time. So why treat it like it’s something “competitive” in a game that will never be a competitive shooter. Please remove this it’s getting annoying and maybe the player count will go up a little bc trust me D2 needs it rn.

Not defending it at all… But you get a fresh warning every half hour after leaving/dropping a match. If you are disconnecting twice in a half hour, your internet/connection needs help.
-
If you got error coded due to connection issues then chances are you suspension has nothing to do with quitting but rather connectivity which enforces escalated bans depending on how many times you keep getting kicked.
-
It’s interesting that I was allowed to leave two iron banner matches because I got twilight crap, but I can’t do that in control.

What is quick play

6 RepliesI find it hilarious that Bungie can't figure out the difference between someone manually leaving a game vs. being kicked by one of their error codes. You'd think if they were going to institute a suspension, they would atleast know the difference But... this is bungie lol

Edited by Disciple of The Fitness: 11/14/2022 3:43:56 AMI just left a gambit match because I have 3 teammates, one of whom was AFK. Yet I’m the one who gets a warning all because I refuse to waste my time with bs.

10 RepliesQP quitter penalty got put in the game because after SBMM got introduced "good player " start leaving game way more to keep their padded stats
-
2 RepliesIt’s unfortunate that you got unlucky with error codes but that doesn’t mean the suspension penalty should be removed. Quitting was a plague in Control because so many babies couldn’t handle getting bested. Blame the quitting babies, not Bungie.

5 RepliesEdited by Wintermute 2050: 11/21/2022 10:35:24 AMThere is no QuickPlay. Bungie removed this queue more than a year ago when gamers wanted to choose their match type. They were leaving a match as soon as it began. Matchmaking was not quick anymore. Bungie’s solution to improve matchmaking time was crossplay. QuickPlay was a short-lived queue that provided random Control and Clash matches through a queue. The name does NOT refer to the speed at which matchmaking occurs in a single playlist. Control has replaced QuickPlay. Read the description before you click on the queue.

Edited by ITS JUST DAVEY: 11/13/2022 10:30:30 AMHow come when you’re waiting for a match it takes about 3/4 minutes but the minute you go the toilet it puts you straight into a match in like 30 seconds. Then if you have to go out so you quit a game within 30 minutes and then come back on about 3 hours later your ban immediately kicks in 💩🤣 That’s just wrong

"So why treat it like it’s something “competitive” in a game that will never be a competitive shooter." Answer: The people who don't post here treat it like a competitive mode. So it gets treated like a competitive mode by Bungie. There's no casual mode in Destiny anymore. Player count won't go up because of removing this. It'll take a whole lot more than this.

I agree yes

Keep the suspensions but def fix the error codes or at least make the game able to know that a drop was an error code (I mean it knows enough to tell you so it's odd that doesn't give a free pass for disconnects). Aside from errors outside of our control, people quitting habitually gotta get put in the corner.

They shouldn't be able to give out a punishment for dcing when they don't have dedicated servers

3 RepliesUnfortunately quick play has been taken over by SBMM. There’s no such thing as a quickplay mode. The majority wanted SBMM, which is a more serious mode, which means adding serious penalties Oh well this is exactly what the majority of the people asked for. So glad this game is burning

1 ReplyIt's not "quickplay" anymore, it's competitive. It has SBMM rank-based matchmaking, it has quitter penalties. You guys can scream to the sky all you want, but Control is not "casual quickplay" anymore by it's very definition. You aren't in control of the Crucible, Bungie is. And Bungie just decided it is NOT quickplay. So move on and learn to adapt.

And yet people have proven that they will go so far as to force internet issues to get out of losing matches. So error codes have to be a valid reason for a suspension.

Make the lockout 2 hours for quitters, as incentive make every match drop extra legendary weapons..

Make matchmaking 1-3 players and 3-6
