Why is it that the Warlocks are the archangel, the paladin, the cleric, the wizard, the scholar archetype.
The hunter is the gunslinger, the rouge, the ninja, the space cowboy, the reaper archetype.
And the Titan is just the guy that punches. In fact two of our sub classes are exactly the same but one is light blue with sparky sounds and one has ice crystals. The Hunter and Warlock have these awesome bad -blam!- archetypes that are all vastly and wildly different branched with a common, interesting, and appealing theme but the Titan just punches in different colors? Bungie, you couldn't even be bothered to add something unique to the stasis Titans subclass for it's super just a dark blue arc. The new subclass being released just looks exactly the same but green. Not even trying to hide that you have no interest in making the class interesting 🤔 why even have it in the first place. There are thousands of warrior cultures to draw from and you chose none of them to inspire Titan Archetypes. Titans could literally be removed from the game as a whole and you wouldn't even feel the population dip, why is Titan the only class without an identity?

Tank means to me damage mitigation. Barricades overshield self healing damage resist. While other classes can do this well titans do this the best. Also I don’t consider any exotics when making this only aspects and fragments.

HAHAHA, I haven't seen such good comedy in ages.

Warlocks have no identity

Edited by IDicebergEGO82: 11/11/2022 1:02:14 AMWhat are you talking about. I think titan is probably the best class in the game…. Now warlock… they need some serious help.

Don't know about punching but I've been a human ballistic missile since curaiss was put in the game

Hey you don't just punch things... you also eat crayons 🖍
-
And still gets out meleed in pvp

This has to be a huge joke 😂😂

Munching crayons is an identity.

Titans have had an identity for the better part of the 1st game up until Arc 3.0 in D2, here are some reasons why. Reason 1: Titans have always been the Immovable Tank, but not quite in the way you may think. Void back then was always Ward of Dawn, had Blessing of Light giving an overshield when stepping out of WoD, and Weapons of Light, giving allies an increase to damage. How does this translate to the "tank" well, along with Blessing and Weapons, they had Armor of Light granting an insane amount of damage reduction to the point that only Striker Titans were able to kill you. And no, Voidwalkers couldn't kill you with Nova Bomb, I think it took off the overshield and maybe like half health but I could be wrong. How does this effect translate to today's D2? WoD is still a thing and kind of has the same functionality as before but Weapons and Armor of Light are granted by casting along with stepping in and out of WoD. Reason 2: Sunbreaker has actually done a really good job at fulfilling the "tank" aspect of Titan in both games. Sunbreakers had the almighty Sunspots and Melting Point melee along with being able to essentially clear an entire room with just abilities alone. Still holds true even today, with Sunspots offering Restoration, Sol Invictus recharging abilities and Roaring Flames increasing ability damage.

4 RepliesIdk Titans are supposed to be living juggernauts and they kinda feel that way. I'm not a fan of how subclasses and their orders have been downplayed, but ultimately Titan still feels like a juggernaut.

Just another moot opinion from someone who’s iq is that of pickle juice.

3 RepliesEdited by Bobson Dugnutt: 11/10/2022 1:57:54 PMTitan is for people who aren’t skilful or quick whitted enough to play Hunter or Warlock.
🎣
1 ReplyI see titans as a tank, the barricades and health from void makes them very annoying to play against. My Hunter self runs once they pop the barricades.
-
The guardian, the hunter, titan, warlock with no personality or identity. We woke up in field of rusted old cars, stood up, and screamed "I CHOOSE VIOLENCE" and that's pretty much our entire character.

Hard disagree
-
You punch. I dunno how that's hard to understand.

Titans are better paladins than warlocks
-
We are the wall that protects our city. We shaped the pillars to their core that are the seven columns. We built the wall that surrounds the very people we love. We are titans. And we are the last city’s true hope.
😂😂😂😂If only that seemed just as bad a$$ in game.
1 ReplyI think you meant to say "warlocks."

It always gives me great pleasure defeating a Titan. Like wise it gives me great pleasure to have one in my team. They are a beast of a class.

-
We punch things.. with a few lighting storms to mix in more recently.. but printing our knunckles in to every enemies forehead we come across is our ID. 🤛😆💨
-
You are a wall with boxing gloves
-
Simplicity is a good thing more often than not. While Warlocks spent weeks trying to create their own miniature teammates, Titans just slapped a new energy on their fist and punched -blam!-. It's pretty darn effective

21 RepliesAs a titan main, we definitely have an identity. We are a TANK. Fast moving, heaving hitting with high armor. That is a tank. We can clear rooms while tanking damage, tank damage and buff, or tank damage while delivering it. Our over shields, solar cure and restoration are the best. We can stack devour AND over shields. We can have cure/restoration/radiant AND sunspot.
nibbles crayon
