Hear me out: The grind to the minimal light level to enter Grandmaster nightfalls is exhausting to players who work full time jobs, have kids, etc. A majority of my clanmates still can't run grandmasters this season and have become totally disgruntled. We think it would improve the quality of life for players if this was adjusted.

There should be no grind. Just contest mode. Maybe you need to complete a master one time to unlock them but that’s it.

7 RepliesThere should just be no entry requirement. Also they should be available all season.

9 RepliesI do agree on a type of adjustment....I mean I'm 1610 light and still get one shot in there...even though I grind this game with a passion I should be rewarded by being able to tank most of the damage input but that's not the case, I would be happy with a Nightfall tab then a difficulty selection.

i am a pipeliner have kids and play lots of other games and i can make gm befor they come out also i don’t do bountys so u have no excuse if u play like 4 hours a week u can do it

this is a great ide to get rid of light level grind all together, good call!

Levels in Destiny have literally never made sense. They could easily just have content at set difficulty levels like easy, medium, and hard and nothing would change. It's a holdover from D1's attempt to mimmick traditional MMOs. Like why parts of VoG were different levels where players were expected to get gatekept by gear and need to build up to actually beating a raid, but they never committed and it's always been in an awkward middle ground of only mattering for the very endgame content and nothing else but still being a massive grind. Forever 29.

For me it's bit of a grind the first 2 weeks of each season, 3 characters doing all pinnacle activities except the raid and trials. That light grind for 3 characters is an average of 2 hours a day for the first 2 weeks. By week 3 at least 1 character is max light. GMs come out after week 5 or so. On average less than an hour a day is enough time to do whats required to reach GM level

8 RepliesEdited by LocoToopa: 11/10/2022 9:15:44 PMI have a full time job and went on holiday and was still a piece of piss to reach 1585... If you can't reach 1585 then this game probably isn't for you. Edit. I meant 1595, but it's still lemon squeezy to reach that.

1 ReplyHard disagree! GMs should be available IMMEDIATELY! Contest mode is active so our power level is irrelevant. The ONLY reason they start it after 6 weeks is to 1) give you time to run the new Content. And that’s a good thing on Comet Expansions but from a seasonal standpoint it’s just too big of a time gap. We don’t need 6 weeks to learn an easy 6 man seasonal activity. 2) Just to drip feed content. I’m a 6x Gilded Conquerer and I would absolutely live in GMs if they were opened up say a week after a New raid or Dungeon. Other than those 2 times they should be Opened!!!

3 RepliesThere shouldn't be a grind to access GMs in the first place. Every season we have to do this bs, and then even wait for the 2nd half of the season. GMs are contest anyway, why not have no power level number on them and let us access them any time we want.
-
15 RepliesWhile this is true Bungie does this because lower power levels will struggle more and die more often than the recommended power level for a Grandmaster nightfall.
-
Let bungie keep me away from content. I will not play their game. Thanks for cure my addiction.

2 RepliesNo, not level 100. If you've hit end game between major expansions, then you should be able to do GMs from the start of in-between seasons. I don't get the whole "today I can do a GM, but tomorrow I can't because NeW sEaSoN" BS. New expansion, yes. (and granted, I am giving here, because I know it's a live service game and needs some kind of grind), New season, no.

Edited by Omega-7: 11/7/2022 10:27:52 PMGMs should just be available to everyone at anytime because it isn’t hard to grind yourself up to the required power to do the Grandmaster so it would only make sense if they give more time to do the Grandmaster nightfalls
-
They need to just open them up and have them adjust power levels as we go along the season keeping the normal threshold. This way players who can't play as much can still go for adept pve loot.
-
16 RepliesIf they don't have time to reach the pinnacle cap and level 120 on the season pass then they won't have time to do most of the GMs.
-
13 RepliesOn one hand, I understand where you're coming from On the other, there are people over 100 on day two of the season.
