Please just remove it from the game... PvP was barely fun as it was... now it's just absolut -blam!-. Can't even win half of the games I play anymore...

Edited by Asylum: 11/3/2022 2:11:34 PMCBMM is also trash too. Playing against ppl purely based off connection is just as stupid without region locking. So if they put CBMM back in they also need to add region locking. Idgaf if you cant play crucible with your friends, i got tired of laggy matches and disconnects because im connected to someone with hieroglyphics for a name tag on the other sidr of the planet which is why ill only even pretend crucible exists if it has SBMM. Any form of connection that relies on the connection of another player is stupid, lazy, and should be shunned at every chance possible. But it doesnt matter, hybrid servers on P2P connection will make crucible feel terrible no matter what they do, thats why crucible has always been a laggy broken mess since D1. But euther way out of the 2 CBMM is the over all worst. The only benifit it has is queue time, thats it. CBMM always has been and always will be garbage for anything other than mobile games. An MMR system similar to siege would be a way better way to do it than 1995s CBMM.

The problem with PVP is that it's so neglected, so unrewarding and so frustrating that nobody wants to stay a minute longer than they have to. That's why SBMM struggles to get fair matches, not enough people playing. That and the absolute incompetence of Bungie in measuring player skill.
-
What are you talking about? It's turned back into the absolute dumpster fire that is CBMM. Control is no longer SBMM.
-
Most of these so called high skilled players use Cronus Max. Just get one and you’ll be fine
-
1 ReplyThe fact that they still r complaining but Destiny is using CBMM again is pretty funny
-
34 RepliesI read "sbmm bad" and I hear "I dont want to play against ppl who sweat as much as I do" bungie is trying to make everyone happy by trying tuning sbmm, yet this gets "top" players mad for some reason maybe you should get the L more often, maybe itll make youmore humble
-
15 RepliesThe current SBMM is trash. The SBMM before they loosened it 2 times was great. Now lobbies are just like they were under CBMM.
-
1 ReplyWhen they eventually remove sbmm from control they should remove stats as well. Give everyone that's suddenly so devoted to the idea of playing casually the full experience. No stats, no pressure. Then they can run around with all those off meta builds they've had saved in their vaults for 4 years.

Fighting game players in SBMM: "Finally, a worthy opponent. OUR BATTLE WILL BE LEGENDARY!" FPS / Destiny players in SBMM:

49 RepliesSo you want to be matched against lower skilled players all the time so you can win. So you don't want to be matched against players closer to your skill level and make you work (and maybe even improve your skills) for your wins.

11 RepliesThis will blow your mind but a 50-50 win/loss ratio is what is supposed to happen. Sorry that you're not able to shoot fish in a barrel to feel like a big man anymore, other people are allowed to have fun too. Time to put your big boy pants on and learn that the world will not always let you win.

1 Replyi prefer sbmm for myself. I was all for it at the beginning. As soon as i play with my buddies we run into big problems. Most of them dont even wanna play togehter anymore because they just get rekt all the time. Its also almost impossible to win because they are just not good enough to hold their own in sbmm. I also have never seen so many laggy players. some of them a literally teleporting all over the map. So i changed my mind over the last couple of weeks. SBMM is not the right thing to do for a game like D2. If we would have dedicated server and some system in place that we can still play with all our friends and all can have fun it would no be such a big problem. Basiclly it made us all quit pvp for the most part and we play MW2 now.
-
10 RepliesUpvote. Sbmm has killed pvp again. This is literally the 4th time it's done so. Get rid of it. PERMANENTLY
-
12 RepliesLol we don't even have sbmm anymore it barely made it a few days before yall started crying about having to put in work like everyone else. At best we got a skill algorithm with cbmm which is fine. Your not looking for fun your looking for easy.

Stop crying

2 RepliesFine let's do CBMM. But the quit penalties stay.
-
3 Repliesmaybe you need to learn map layout, work as a team, become more aware of the route's enemies go.
-
It’s not even SBMM it’s new player protection.
-
4 RepliesNaw you are in the minority

Edited by Jakebohica: 11/3/2022 1:48:58 PM
I suck and should only have to play people worse than me.
My advice would be to just practice, my guy. And to be fair, out of the last 15 games you played, the ones that you did win, you were in the top 5 on your team twice. Lol.
-
2 RepliesIt really does not exist anymore. What you are, or should be, complaining about is lobby balancing. Sbmm lasted about two weeks if that.

My opinion, it feels good, not cause matches are easier (they are not) but the fact I don’t feel like I have to either capture the zones as my team runs by them to kill stuff In this mode we are truely learning to get better since each loss is a learning experience, unlike when it was purely cbmm, where it can end right as you joined and felt like your time was wasted and felt one sided a lot of the time While I do have some one sided matches which are rare, they do managed to catch up and we do as well, as it’s cause they got a bit too confident or we did While yes some people complain about being unable to use anything but meta stuff, but my normal response is normally “then you should not have spammed something all the time” look the game doesn’t make a meta, it doesn’t force us to use it, I play as I want to, last word and sniper, both have gotten nerfed but still good
-
1 ReplyWell, if DestinyTracker has anything to say about my odds of winning in Control these days, SBMM is nonexistent.

Someone is being exposed

You misspelled "crucible"
