Touch of Malice Drop rate
40 clears no touch of malice and I only see it drop once every 6 clears. Ridiculous
After I get it nobody will be doing catalyst runs, I bet it will probably be after the new raid comes out

Here’s the thing that really bothers me, and I’ve seen it said by other people as well. When Bungie does these RNG drops with no bad luck protection, they are essentially saying that they don’t care if some of the people who give them money have a lousy experience with their product. I think that’s a pretty sh_tty way to treat your customer base. And it’s not like they can’t do anything about it, they just refuse to.

None of the rewards drops should be RNG!!!!

It's rng sometimes first run sometimes 100+. Took me 72 runs for collective obligation

It would mitigate the RNG a bit, and maybe some folks who don't want to rely on RNG will have reason to want to grind raids on a weekly basis? What are we missing from there at this rate? Besides the newer Exotics, is it just: Vex, Touch, Eyes? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2 RepliesOur team has had much better luck with Touch than some others. 6 of the 7 of us who run together got it by clear 20. On the other side, 3 of us 7 don't have Collective Obligation after nearly 40 clears.

And this is why I stopped playing this game so seriously. When my chances of re-earning a weapon I ALREADY earned once boils down to sheer dumb luck, I can't help but think Bungie lowkey created a whole generation of masochist gamers who love getting screwed over. Even their monetization model is beginning to show it. Like, it really surprises me that so many people have been duped into thinking complete RNG is indicative of skill and prestige and that having a clear set questing path to obtaining a gun through raiding is a handout.

Yeah by the time I get it, I’m just gonna end up vaulting it. Once I got Vex Mytho it took me forever to find a team to help with the catalyst.

boohoo, its a 5% chance for a raid exotic, that seems fair enough for me, the point is to make people keep playing it so everyone doesnt do 1 run get everything and call it a day, and there will always be people who need to do catalyst runs stop complaining

Took me 75 clears of DSC for EoT and that rocket is trash. ToM another trash exotic. I've stopped caring about running full clears and honestly about this raid. Bungie just wants to see those grind hours with their garbage rng system to appease the shareholders.

1 ReplyThe catalyst isn’t super important like vex’s but I feel the pain. I have 40 clears split between vow and kings fall and I have yet to get a drop from either as I started farming both at the start of the season when I can. I try to take a break from farming for a week because trying to do all 6 runs at once really burns me out, especially since it’s so hard to get a competent team for vow outside of farming weeks nowadays [spoiler]If you haven’t already, I would suggest grabbing spoils from the opening encounter chest from vow and all 3 characters and then using it to buy a red border almost every week[/spoiler]

Ouch, got mine on my second run which is the first time I've ever been so lucky, usually takes me 20 to 30 runs to get a raid exotic. Hell even with the pity system it took me 27 runs to get the E.o.T.

The drop rate is 50/50. You either get it or you don't /s

Assuming that you have 3 characters that that you've been running at least once a week the maximum number of chances you've had is 33 just in case you've been grinding it multiple times a week on the same char trying to get it to drop. (source: also in the 0 for 33 club)

1 ReplyThe drop rates have become insane lately. I played 7 exodus crash on master, every single run was platinum, only one nigthfall weapon dropped. This has never been the case before. Every master run was pretty much a guaranteed drop.

The raid doesn’t take that long, especially if you just do a CP run for it. And all you gotta do is make a fourm post for people to do the catalyst, dont balme bungie for that one
