The only way appears to be using ember of combustion which only works on super kills.
I’m trying to find another way but it appears it’s the only way.

Edited by IainG10: 10/30/2022 12:35:08 PMThe only ways are apply enough Scorch or use your Super with Ember of Combustion. You don't have any equivalent of the Hunter melee that automatically Ignites, and I don't know Titan enough to even know if they have one. That said, Incinerator Snap can apply enough Scorch to Ignite on its own is you aim it right. 2 Fusion grenades can do it, thanks to Starfire; and stacking Solar grenades with Sunfires also works, but the target needs to survive the grenade damage to Ignite.

a (fusion) grenade and melee with that fragment that scorches more does an ignition

To be honest, it's a tough go on Warlock for ignitions themselves. Pretty much any ability we have that applies scorch also has enough damage to kill whatever you applied said scorch to. The fastest way to ignitions of course is a solar weapon in WoR with the fragment that ignites enemies on super kill. Beyond that, it's pretty hit and miss imo. You can cause an ignition if enough of your projectiles form Incinerator snap hit (provided you're also running the fragments for improved scorch and such), but most of the time you're only going to be able to ignite bosses and champs. You can make it faster to get to ignitions with an incendiary grenade + snap, but then you trade off other powerful things like Starfire /fusion grenade spam (absolutely insane with the right weapons), or Sunbracers / solar grenade spam. Personally, I wouldn't trade off either for the incendiary grenades. All in all, I wouldn't worry too much about ignitions, and just be happy when you do get that little extra boost from them.

I use ember of wonder and Incandescent and I get ignitions all the time -
4 RepliesSnap melee is ignite on 1 target.

Combustion is one way to do it, whether it’s dawnblade or well of radiance (if you build your loadout to deal solar damage). Another would be to build around the one fragment for causing more scorch stacks and using dawn chorus with a incandescent perk weapon to cause ignitions.
-
7 RepliesU play the only useful build on solar, starfire protocol and fusion nades and spam ur grenades.
-
Ember of ashes fragment combined with snap ignites if most or all of the projectiles hit. Incendiary grenade combined with either melee is pretty much guaranteed ignition.

The only way appears to be using ember of combustion which only works on super kills. I’m trying to find another way but it appears it’s the only way.
nibbles crayon

The snap causes an ignition. Also pretty much any ability applies scorch, so you can just convo them to get an ignition. Adding in things like skyburners and dawn chorus enhances your ability to burn and ignite even further.

3 RepliesApply more scorch, scorch has increased area of affect, combustion ember, apply scorch from ignitions. Starfire protocol Fusion nade spam. Tip: while in a well ember of combustion gets procced for killing enemies with solar weapons. So 1 hit everything with Ariana vow from a well of radience and everything ignites.

Enhanced solar and Torch snap are the best none super options in my opinion.
-
The only other way would be with Incinerator Snap, if you land all, or most of the 5 projectiles on a target without killing them, or stacking Scorch on enemies with your abilities, and hope you don't kill them before reaching a full Scorch stack.
-
From what I can tell: Looks like you have to build around the ability to cause scorch. If a target takes enough scorch damage, then I believe they ignite. If you look at the snap-melee option, that might be a good thing to use to start scorch. Some of the fragments help spread or increase it. Then some grenades and exotic weapons also apply scorch. The more you can do in that direction might help.

Edited by BetweenMyself: 10/26/2022 11:40:59 PMIncinerator Snap melee + Ember of Ashes can regularly cause enemies to Ignite provided you land enough of the melee projectiles on a single target. This of course is more consistent against slightly larger targets with enough health to not immediately die to one or two projectiles. Pairing with Monte Carlo or a weapon with Pugilist will help you get your melee back more quickly if you’re looking to farm Ignitions for a Bounty. edit: mistakenly listed Ember of Torches originally (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)
