Weapon Crafting - annoying when you want to change perks

I hope Bungie makes us select the perks that we already unlocked in our weapons.

  • Random Rolls - Even more annoying when you want to change perks. I do agree though. Would be nice to re-select already unlocked perks on a gun without repurchasing them.

  • They just need to add more perks to the gun like how vanguard and crucible are. I have the smg from crucible with 5 perks. Why can't crafted weapons be like that?

  • What's annoying is that if you want to make a second one, you have to level it up all over again! Ridiculous.

  • Trust Bungie to regularly implement the worst implementation of any system they can get away with. Even the simplest of requests like "Put an on/off switch on emblems" will be unnecessarily tortured into something convoluted that no one gives a -blam!- about. Transmog existed in better ways in so many other games but they to put "their special Bungie touch" on it so it's garbage. Same with weapon crafting.

    • I’m crafting 2 weapons simultaneously atm and one is a BXR. I have to craft 2 versions. One for PVE and one for PVP. It would be nice when you get a weapon to level 40 you open a second row of perks. Would save a lot of vault space and make crafted weapons even more valuable to a player.

I'll take three perks in each column(prestige 4) over enhanced perks any day. Less vault space 9 possible on the fly setups That's what weapon crafting shoulda/woulda/coulda been

        • Investing an alloy should allow swapping between perks to allow for May conservation when perk metals change.( like when you max armor, it costs an upgrade module to swap elements, not a shard)

        • It’s a system that helps just as much as it hurts.

        • I’ve just been saying the exact thing to clan mates. I had to do a load of red bars to get the materials, then do a master weekly mission solo to get the alloy. Just to change one perk.

        • Bungie should change the crafting system, so every time you opened/reshape a perk into a weapon, it should be available to choose from weapon perks. Another solution could be that leveling a crafted weapon once, will make this pattern available to craft another gun, with the perks to choose from already opened on the first crafted gun.

        • They should’ve made enhanced perks like the mods in Fallout, where you can have that perk permanently unlocked for when you want to swap to it. Or at least make it cost Resonant Elements only.
