Need more vault space again
Is there any way vault space can be increased to 1000? Theres too many weapons and pieces of exotic armor now and I literally can't play anymore due to not having any space for anything, other than in postmaster. Everyime I log in I get at least one or two god rolls, and I'm not deleting anything I have, as I have already refined and balanced my vault for the umpteenth time. I'll keep playing other games until then, as I don't find it fun to log in and play Inventory Management Simulation: Destiny 2 Edition. This is literally my only problem with this game anymore. How can I dunk on baddies when everytime I get adrop( which is like every 5 minutes) I have to use DIM to micromanage my limited inventory. SO maybe for Christmas this year, increase vault space to 1000. It makes no sense to release over a hundred different new weapons and pieces of armor and not increase vault space with each release. I've literally got way too many god rolled weapons and armor, and I'm positive I'm not the only one facing this dilemma. SO maybe help us out.

2 RepliesThis is true. The key issue is that the whole incoming new loot quantity, crafting restrictions, and storage limits aren't sustainable. Crafting needs to have multiple perks available, otherwise they're even more restrictive than two and especially three perk alternative versions. We need ways to amend our random rolls to get rid of multiple different 3 of 5, 4 of 5 godrolls. If we have this little growth in space, and this much new loot every season (especially given more legacy items are being reissued), then we need more ways to have the roll of our choice AND multiple configurations of them, more space or, least desirable, fewer new weapons! Something needs to give; the current ecosystem isn't sustainable.

I've been raiding more this season, so I get a lot of weapons, but I can only carry 50 materials at once even though each weapon takes 12 to make and then 12 to masterwork and then I'm not sure how much to put on enhanced perks.. so.. what do I do with the excess raid weapons? I store them because I can only carry 50 materials. Material caps are so -blam!- irritatingly low

It doesn’t matter how big the vault size is. 20, 50, 100, 250, 500, 600, 1000. Doesn’t matter. People will fill it with trash and nostalgia loot then ask for more space. The only real solution is for people to go through their vaults and delete their trash. Have a friend decide what to keep for you if you have to. But asking for more space ISN’T a solution.

Think about it: even if Bungie would increase Vault Space to 1000, if you tend to keep everything you find -God Rolls or not- in a couple of months you'd find yourself in the same position you're righ now. I hardly believe you tend to use [i]EVERYTHING[/i] you find and/or possess in your Vault quite often. Just saying... maybe in your Vault there's an PvE God Roll SMG you've never used and probably you'll ever will, or a God Roll grenade Launcher that probably, God Roll as it is, is still useless. I know it may sound annoying, but you just need to delete some of your gear and Weapons. Focus on things you can actually use, not those that [i]maybe[/i], who knows, [i]one day[/i], you [i]may decide[/i] to use or [i]could acquire[/i] value.

6 RepliesThis is very much a you problem. It sounds like a hoarding issue, you probably don't even NEED all those god rolls and chance are you have multiple guns that do the same function and are in the same archetype. How many Arc 140rpm Hand Cannons do you have? How many Kinetic 450 or 600rpm Auto Rifles? Keep 1 of each archetype for PvP and PvE separate, sure ok. But for example, Arc 140 non-sunset means you have: Waking Vigil, Nation of Beasts, Finite Impactor, Cantata-47, and Crisis Inverted. That's 5 of basically the same gun. Armor: You only really need 1 of each Exotic so they're not a Collections roll. And then 1 set of each element which can all be held on-character to save vault space. Heck you can have 1 of each set for PvE and 1 PvP-dedicated set and still have leftover character inventory space. Per character. What you need to do is let go of old guns. Can't be sentimental about every item. It's not about rebalancing the vault, it's about purging it.

In my view there are a few reasons why vault space will never be enough. - so many new seasons or events each with new items, engrams, etc. people just wanna play and not manage their investory, postmaster and vault after every 5 minute activity. So it goes to postmaster and then vault for reviewing "later" - old gear could become good or meta when Bungie announces buffs/nerfs. so you keep a copy (or a few) just in case. - No way to get most gear out of collections - no way for crafted gear to have multiple perks, so again you might need a few versions depending on activity So yeah sure 90% or more in my vault I don't actively use or haven't touched in more than a year, but it's there just in case...

3 RepliesThere shouldn't be any vault in the first place. Once we acquired a weapon it should be available from our collections (every roll that we got). If bungo doesn't have the money for servers, they could just allow us to store the data locally... I would gladly use gibbed save editor :))) Also, honest question, why do you keep your armor pieces in the vault? Except some few exotic pieces, I keep all of my armor on my character. Just think, even if you have just 5 helmets, 5 arms, 5 chests and 5 legs it gives you 625 possible permutations. Combined with mods, you can have any stat distribution/bulid you want. Extreme min/maxing in a game based on RNG is kinda pointless to me.

2 RepliesIf I play as an invisible hunter, can I steal someone else’s vault space??? 😁😁😁 But seriously, I am nowhere near full, but I can see the direction it’s going. I don’t know if it is doable on a large scale with multiple platforms, but unlimited seems to make the most sense.

Why ask for only 1000? If your gonna ask for more space you might as well go for broke and ask for 10000. Put out some number where you’ll shut up about it
