Can we scrap this game already?
Servers are still P2P which is by far the dumbest thing about being a “AAA developer” in 2022, we aren’t in 2010 anymore Bungo. Destiny 2 is stale, has a horrible new player experience, and an even worse veteran player experience. Scrap this game and give us something new for once. Thanks

I think Bungie needs a fresh start with Destiny, make a Destiny 3(especially if the rumors about matter being a division ripoff are true)set hundreds of years after the current events , in another solar system, playing has another species Everything will have to be new, planets, abilities, weapon types, movement, core gameplay loop , new NPCs , new enemies, new destinations, everything, not one single D1 or D2 reprisal , all the stuff we know today got destroyed when the witness destroyed earth, there is no getting it back Of course with occasional nods to our actions in D1 and D2 -

People have been moaning and crying like 2 year olds throwing a tantrum, but, right or wrong, this is why: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/why-destiny-2-doesnt-use-dedicated-servers/1100-6450352/#:~:text=Bungie%20said%20it%20does%20not,just%20as%20Destiny%201%20did. I've played this game for years, and have had no issues with it being P2P - rarely get booted to orbit with error codes, don't have lag issues unless it's on my ISP's end, and it's best to take things as you get them. We have no control over them, they've made it deathly clear they have no intentions of having dedicated servers, so...what can we do? If we don't like it, we can just stop buying their product, but with the vast number of players in their playerbase, I don't see that really affecting them.

Looking for any AAA games actually on dedicated servers…. And nope.. can not find any. I am sure there is… but not even Microsoft has dedicated servers and they pretty much own the internet

Play something else and realize D2 has a massive player base and most of us enjoy it even with its flaws. They have a business to run while you ask the absurd. Why do you guys insist on paying and playing a game you hate and think you have a say. There’s a world of other games to try.

yeah they really should stop working on D2 and make a D3 with a whole new engine and dedicated servers. and lightfall would be a good starting point with the new subclass, just need at least one new enemy race and bring back all the vaulted locations. make a lot more crucible and gambit maps as well

Don't worry, it's near its time if things work out as Bungie plans in 2025. You get a new Ip to do it all over again 👍

Eh, I just got teabagged & emotted to shame on my last match by a laggy Warlock with a horse mask. How does a Warlock survive a rocket to the face & headshots you 3 seconds later? 🤣 This game is just breadcrumbs at this point.

They should have scraped it when they introduced the DCV. I get that you want a single evolving world, but you lost that the second you announced D2. And again, I get that Activision probably pressed them to make a sequel, but if they really cared about their world so much they would have fought harder to keep it. And constantly ripping out content and throwing it in the DCV? That's 100% Bungie.

I started playing ESO, I had an account from way back at launch. Currently having fun, and that's what it's really about. Destiny does not equal fun anymore for me. Maybe I'll be back when the new full expansion hits, maybe I'll play for 10 minutes and remember I hate the core grind so much I'd rather not.
