Like why? It is supposed to be a casual game mode, it is not comp or trials…

Edited by AcerG-MaCDuff: 10/30/2022 8:48:48 PMI quit when the match is no fun. I loved the early LSBMM but what they got now ain't that. Matching so many better players getting negative KDA most matches its worse than before SBMM. I hate getting farmed. I can't help my team win I'm more of a hinderance than a help. The team balancing is all over the place. Seems to me that Bungie has all the stats and knows what the experience is going to be like based on your stats, so this experience is a deliberate choice by them. Feels bad man. Found I am playing PvP less and less recently because of it. Quit penalties are the price I pay to have a good time and not feel like a burden to those that are supposed to be at my skill level. Sorry all those that say don't quit, but video games are supposed to be fun right?

21 RepliesRead the twab. CRUCIBLE “Fixed an issue where Crucible and Iron Banner Seasonal kills and deaths were only being updated at match complete, rather than continually during the match. “ You cannot quit to protect stats anymore 🤣

1 Replyno just stop quitting. there is no reason to quit a game at all.
-
I only quit when the connection is bad and hit registration is broken... I'll stay in a match otherwise. That being said I'm not playing the game right this moment because Bungie just slapped my hand with a 30min time out. I went outside but the fresh air was making me depressed 🫥

Agreed. The penalty is nothing more than a bandaid fix instead of fixing what's actually wrong with the core playlist.
-
1 ReplyGet rid of disjunction and many people won’t quit. After 10 games on that map not once has someone won with 150 score
-
Quitter penalty is just a weak attempt to keep people in the game, instead of fixing the problems that make them actually quiting. It's like if you grandma had lung cancer and she's coughing alot, so you try to electroshock her, in hope that through some pavlovian conditioning, she gonna stop coughing. It's kinda stupid. On the another hand, if the game annoys you maybe it's a sign to take a break, go for a walk... You can't control bungo, but you can control your mental state.

Everyone’s saying ‘just don’t quit’ or ‘stop leaving matches then’ but that’s a stupid response. The point is that a quitter penalty was the wrong move in Control and shouldn’t be there. I’m absolutely going to leave a match if I’m getting wrecked and not having a good time. It’s boring and demoralising to stay. It kills the mood to play the game. Getting the same map over and over. Playing with the same players over and over. Going against stacks, join in progress matches… etc etc. Now, I do believe quitter penalties should be in true competitive modes. However, that’s what the Glory playlist is for. That playlist should get some love and maybe people would actually play it.

1 ReplyBungie has to make players available for sweats, tryhards and youtubers to be able to decimate. After all you don't expect them to actually have matched skilled players fighting each other.
-
Playing a broken game feels more penalizing. I quit playing this entire broken and empty game a long time ago. Instead of being penalized for quitting, it actually felt like a reward because I’m no longer playing a lame and boring game that is broken as well as empty. Haha!🤣 It felt so good quitting a game this lame. It feels rewarding instead of penalizing. Touching grass feels better than playing this empty game. Haha!🤣

Dont quit your matches?

6 RepliesI really hate to see this happen to YOU guys. Bungie has really done all the quitters dirty. I truly am sorry YOU get punished because YOU chose to leave a match without completing it and ruin the experience for 11 other people.
-
No. Stop quitting and you’ll be fine.

Like why? It is supposed to be a casual game mode, it is not comp or trials…
"Just don't quit" you morons have no brain process, some people have to get off like teenagers and kids. I was playing crucible and my friends joined my party mid game and asked me to do kf, so I left. You shouldn't be penalized over a non competitive game mode. You gonna tell me they should do this for cod too? 🤦🤦

Not quitting would also solve your suspension issues.

Increase it. Every time you quite you have to redo the campaign on legendary before you can go back in.

Quit being a quiter 🤷♂️

Edited by Sweet Lew 88: 10/19/2022 5:46:26 PMYou got a good reason to quit? Maybe then Bungie might change their mind.... They probably want people not to quit, so the penalty is supposed to discourage that.
-
If you are being picky because you are losing and quit instead you are literally being one of the problems in PvP. I’m glad I have less guardians dropping from teams and spoiling my time because they choose to be self centred. It doesn’t ban you after one quit so it’s almost like they are going off of your pattern of behaviour rather than a single occurrence. It’s there for a reason, the reason being people who quit out when they aren’t going to win because they lack basic sportsmanship.
-
Edited by Scratch: 10/19/2022 2:14:51 PMNope. It's not unreasonable to ask that you finish what you start. PvP only works if the Ps play. Yes, fix the reasons why people quit... but in addition to penalties. What possible justification do you see for screwing over 12 people? Why do you believe people should be allowed to quit, ruining the experience of other players, with total impunity?
-
8 RepliesBecause it kills the fun for 11 other people. If you can't stick around then don't play at that time. If you have to leave urgently then take your warning and play next game. If you have to leave twice and get penalized because of it then you deserved it.
