He’s off the map with a mechanic that kills you and doesn’t allow you to do damage when away from your team.
Tractor cannon doesn’t work for this reason.
Divinity is now garbage so that’s no longer an option.
Tether literally lasts for about 1/3 of oryx’s (and any) damage phase which is why no one ever uses tether in the first place.
Quit making raid bosses that require debuffs at all if you’re going to make the options like this.
Lower every single bosses health in the game by 30% and then no longer allow any form of damage increase on them.
Then div is only a bigger crit spot.
Tether still does everything it does just not to bosses.
Same thing with tractor because tractor doesn’t have enough range to be used no matter how much you nerf anything else.

It's wierd , it was somehow done in D1 without Divinity
-
You don’t really need a debuff for normal anyways tbh
-
You can stack Tether and Divinity
-
Collective obligation will be new meta where tractor doesnt work.

15 RepliesYou don’t need div… he’s an easy 3 phase with no div with unoptimized loadouts.
-
4 RepliesOryx hand can be hit with tractor cannon. In d1 we didn't have div and we beat oryx without any issues.
-
4 RepliesGood players adapt. Bad players whine on the forum.

Edited by Ray: 10/7/2022 5:09:51 AMImagine thinking divinity is a necessity against oryx I wish people would learn how to play the game before talking

The same way people did it in D1 - or how they beat Calus, or just about every other raid boss before Divinity. BTW, you don't have to stand in the center for damage - Gladd did a one phase with 6 rat kings, no div with just using damage buffs. Contrary to your point, Div is not garage. Just because it doesn't make your life 100x easier now, in spite of still having the crit bubble. Not a single raid boss requires a debuff - I've done all the D2 raids without div, both before and after it came out without issue. Still beat Warpriest in D1, still beat Gahlran - beat Oryx legit; maybe having to kill him in two phases, instead of one will give you a sense of accomplishment

46 RepliesEdited by conkus805: 10/6/2022 10:10:56 PMgee, wonder how people beat oryx in d1? people, if you can't beat oryx without your crutch, then I don't know what to tell you. people were clearing oryx with nothing but touch in d1.
-
3 RepliesSo far my team and I haven’t used div to beat oryx, and still won’t in the future lol.
-
1 ReplyYou can kill oryx with swords, think about it
-
Divinity nerf isnt in effect now, time enough to do Oryx. And maybe they change the Enboss healthbares by that time?
-
Lumina. Like Nike. Just do it.
-
HOLD CIRCLE OR A OR SHIFT AND SHOT THE -blam!- WITH THE VOID SOUL
-
Oryx already has a giant crit spot? Why would you need divinity?
-
It’s possible that Bungo might reduce boss health in response to div’s nerf. They’ve had to do it when the auto reload and buff/debuff stacking meta ended.
-
1 ReplyMultiple tethers. And sundering glare is 30% this season.
-
I'm not happy about the changes either but a good alternative will be the collective obligation vow of the disciple exotic void pulse rifle for it will cause the same debuff % and it will also allow you to switch to a heavy while the debuff is up.
-
Yep. Time to kick players who got carried before and can't dps. Post divinity times. Good stuff.
-
2 RepliesIf enough of the average everyday casual player voiced displeasure with this change that would be the only way it may possibly be reverted. I’m against the nerf. So I’ve voiced my opinion. Others who feel the same way need to do so as well.

Collective Obligation will be a very viable strat. Maybe even better than Divinity since you can shoot and swap off to your rocket/linear.
