It feels like in in comparison to other classes there is just no way to compete.
Instead of improving warlocks with the 3.0 updates it feels like they got absolutely drained. Specifically arc and solar. There was absolutely no attempt made to improve the warlock instead things were just taken away.
Following the gutting of solar warlock we waited all that time essentially for a new melee and weaker supers.

Yea man warlock does not feel good especially compared to destiny 1 warlock. In pve were not that bad could use some buffs there as well but much more bearable than in pvp. In pvp hunters and titans are by far the best classes to play in pvp hence why there are far more of them in crucible than warlocks if they were as great as everyone in here saying they are is you would see them a lot more. The numbers dont lie compared to titans and hunters warlocks in pvp are 100% B tier compared to titans and hunters being S tier. I have my warlock setup for solar and in pvp it doesnt feel that great I even have the vex mthoclast and rain of fire boots which should be a fantastic combo and I still get outgunned by almost every other weapon at all ranges and I get -blam!- on by titans especially in the super and grenade department. Everyone brings up the fact that we can fly but really in practice it makes you an easy target and it makes landing shots harder. It takes a lot of practice and control to pull off. Meanwhile titans can just sprint at you and one tap melee you to the face and ignore your melee in return and hunters just dash into your face and do the same thing. Its much more difficult to do well with warlock in pvp. Dont get me started on the topic of supers both of those classes supers are better than ours for pvp for sure. Golden gun the titan slam one I forget the name the bubble shield just gives free peak kills I can go on for days about that. Our well of radiance is cool to a degree but the fact that it is stationary kinda makes it -blam!- in pvp because people can just literally ignore you until it runs out making it useless. The only time its good is if people are dumb enough to sit there and try to fight you heads up while your in it. If they have their super welp then you are -blam!- they are just gonna super you and your going to die in it anyway lol. Warlock takes far more skill to do well with in pvp than either of those two classes and that is a fact anyone that disagrees hasnt really played warlock in pvp at all. I have mained and played warlock exclusively since destiny 1 I know how to play the class its not a skill issue its a balance issue.

22 RepliesEdited by Meaga: 10/4/2022 1:51:15 PMYou’re probably just not good enough to use warlock. It’s strange considering that stasis and void 3.0 are crazy, as well as arc having an OP melee. Edit: Yup his DTR checks out. Dawnblade is for GOOD players.

2 RepliesWarlocks are incredibly strong in PVP. Especially Arc warlocks. If you want to argue for Arc warlocks in PVE you might have some traction. In PVP Arc warlocks melee ability is basically broken and I'm surprised it's not talked about more. Incredible range and unable to be hit underground. Can be wrapped around walls and the more players near you the more damage applied. Supers are meh.. but running as an arc ape is dirty. If you don't like that use arc buddy plus no time to explain. Solar warlocks have heat rises and Icarus dash. On some matches they bring unpredictability which is a huge ace. Have you ever faced 2 aping titans and a heat rises warlock? Very difficult combo to beat on small maps. Watch some streamers, some of the best players I know are warlock mains. Play to your classes advantage, warlocks have alot.

I played against a magnificent person yesterday who was playing “the floor is lava and I’m shooting you in the face” with his warlock. He was wire-fu flitting all around, dashing and floating, and he’d dive down and burn you out if you got too close or didn’t notice them.

Lmaooooo skill issue

16 RepliesEdited by NotCreative123: 10/4/2022 2:41:57 AMBest PVE Super is Well. Arguably the best PVP subclass is Dawnblade. The other subclasses are okay. This closely matches with what Hunter and Titan have. Arc melee in PVP is strong. I don't know about PVE
-
You’re lying, we all know it 😂 anyone who has touched pvp since arc 3.0 knows that warlocks are fine in there. Stop trying to get bungie to give an unnecessary buff
-
I've gotten some pretty good Stormtrance streaks.
-
2 RepliesI can’t get the hang of Warlock in PVP. The movement in particular. I either float like a half deflated balloon or move across the ground like a tortoise with it’s feet covered in glue. I am impressed by people who play Warlock effectively in PVP. I’ve tried. I did a lot of PvE gameplay as Warlock last season but couldn’t translate that to PvP. Good fun though.

Idk watching Cross use Karnstein and the new teleport melee on his lock is kind of terrifying lol
-
1 ReplyI'm actually quite enjoying my Arc 3.0 Warlock. Getaway Artist with 100 Disc Out of Bounds + Buffed Thunderbuddy = Super fast TTK The super sucks but the supers take 49 minutes to charge anyway so whatever.
-
Use empowering instead of healing well.
-
No way to compete? Damn, I guess all the times my triple Warlock Trials team went flawless was just a dream.
-
I’m sure when they release new aspects and fragments, we’ll see some form of versatility
-
4 RepliesI proposed a change in one of my posts. Here's basically what I said: New super and new fragment New super: sunsinger - gain increased ability Regen and damage resistance New fragment: enhanced super capabilities -Sunsinger can be activated from beyond the grave -Well of Radiance has increased health and you gain an overshield while inside -Dawnblade gains increased damage and duration. Air dodging costs no super energy
-
But but but but icarus dash
-
Warlocks are in a garbage state period. On all fronts.
-
4 RepliesYou know there are 2 other classes to chose from right? No need to get hung up on "I'm a [insert class here] main". If you feel another class is in a better spot then play that class instead.

Beg to differ

snow’s daily warlock post
-
Tell us you don't play the game, without telling us. This is a bad take and you should just delete this post.
-
please come up with a new thing to complain about u post the same thing every day
-
A better build leaning into your preferred exotics would probably help as a quick look at your Warlock shows over 100 points in int. Resilience Recovery Discipline Should be your aim for a nice build in any class with over 100 points in any two being relatively easy to achieve and if done carefully, all three. Just a thought.
-
2 RepliesJust improve what you got, Well and Stormcaller are really good
-
We ain’t got much, but we have lightning surge. That’s what’s keeping me in the game honestsly.
-
Voidwalker, CotG and Blink in pvp is S tier imo.
