And so on is the general way they do things.
A deluxe version of the expansion also gets you its seasons. Or you can buy individual season passes when they are active., (currently season of plunder)
Its an atrocious system and everyone hates it. I really wish they would change it to anything else.
Seriously, not just weapons but entire subclasses are behind paywalls. Its super bad.
As for the sunsetting of content its basically a middle finger from bungie. A new player will never get to see the story unfold properly. Cayde was hands down one of the greatest video game characters and new players simply cannot ever play through that content. Its truly a shame

Got it, so I already purchased the season of plunder, guess ill call it quits there. No point in putting money into the last 2 chapters of a story I don't know just for them to get removed. "sunset" I was enjoying the haunted stuff, sucks I cant get anything out of it, like progress in the game by playing a part I enjoy. I can see why new players are shunned away from the game. Wish there was more activities for us that got a late start.
