Bungie should give us the option to turn off matchmaking
Idk about you, but i'm getting kinda tired of doing activities where i'm having to compete with five other people who all have crowd control god mode builds that can wipe out a room of enemies in the blink of an eye. It turns the game into a walking simulator where i'm just strolling through ketchcrash while all of my teammates are getting all of the kills. However i'm also having a lot of fun using said god mode builds, especially in solo activities like the pirate lairs or legend lost sectors, and i don't think bungie should start nerfing everything. Bungie at this point has tried to remedy this issue by adding more enemies on screen, not a terrible solution, but it's treating the symptom, not the cause. I think bungie needs to give us the option to turn off matchmaking for seasonal activities and possibly the vanguard op playlist to make them more fun to go through without having to compete with your fireteam just to try and play the game. what do you think?

The only thing that will happen is that top frag players will turn off SBMM and end up in their own pseudo flawless pool. While lower skill players keep SBMM on. This says a lot about the mind set of players. Lol.

I agree. Same thing goes for Vanguard ops IMO. It's annoying when I'm trying to get particular bounties done and someone else is using said god mode builds or is speed running for pinnacles. Which to clarify I'm not against either of those btw as I do it to. Just being able to peacefully do bounties by myself would be nice.

Do what I do turn off cross-play matchmaking then you're almost guaranteed to load into everything solo

you could get your own team, figure out how the mm team you have is clearing rooms and participate instead of being the guy strolling through getting nothing accomplished. So many people just want the easy route. You will always get out of Destiny what you put into it, if you put alot of energy, time and investment into your gaming, like anything else you will improve, get better and also get more out of your experience. The same is true if you barely show up gun in had.

Totally agree with you. The only way I cope it to only match make for Master Level Ketchcrash and NF. These aren’t too bad as you need to play with awareness. At -20 Levels it was challenging but now as people are reaching 1600 it is becoming a little more speedy but nowhere near strike playlist levels.

I agree actually, strikes and expeditions become competitions of who can kill enemies faster, especially if you're trying to complete bounties. It's not fun.

The only time I dislike people cleaning house is during weekly reset when I do strikes for bounties. Then again, I am also one of those players that does it to others. Because I am forced to either get those kills this game, or I will have to play yet another strike. For seasonal activities I welcome power players. I don't want to be stuck there one second longer than I have to. But like I always say, "it's better to have and not use than to not have at all". So an option to solo or play with just a couple of friends in a 6-man activity, is fine by me. I would like to be able to play the lowest vanguard strikes alone. Just for fun, to explore and try out stuff. Or do my weeklies without having to negatively affect other players.

I am equally frustrated with these issues. But I think that content kinda swarms players, I don't think its built well for single player play. But I actually think a better solution would be for Bungie to stop pitting players against each other in the first place. Most of the Triumphs and Bounties do that. What they need to do instead is build those things to encourage teamwork and cooperation. The goals should be mostly if not completely set up as GROUP goals. Just add a few lines of code to make sure players are participating and not afk, and the whole game gets better. [i]Gunship[/i]
