Un-sunset the first 2 years of destiny 2
The new player experience used to be so much better. Bring back the first few expansions, the Red War campaign, and the forsaken campaign.
All the vaulted content needs to come back since theres no more sunsetting. The old weapons can be reprised and brought back, including the mercury weapons.

Sunsetting should have always been up to us. What do I mean? Well like in Call of Duty games now, you can choose to install what you want to keep the install size down. Finished the campaign? Delete it. Don't play Zombies? Don't even install it.

3 RepliesI had so much more fun during D2 launch and first two years. Everyone cried “more content MORE” and now here we are with Destiny at 100 gigs and there’s literally ZERO content for new and returning players. All that Seasonal FOMO ruined Destiny. BRING BACK RED WAR, WARMIND, AND OSIRIS!

I would love to play ALL OF THE GAME from the beginning and not have to start out on a predetermined path to fast track me to the here and now. Starting a new character is pointless when we are skipping the beginning of the game.

I don't see it happening, they've been padding actual new material with sunset stuff fairly significantly. I wouldn't be surprised to see the other Leviathan raids and pieces of IO in the next season or two. I personally just hate that it was scrapped for space but somehow they have the room to bring pretty chunks of it back.

Looking back on it, the entirety of year 1 was pretty bland. However it did do a much better job at properly introducing new characters to the game and story. Who could’ve guess am I right? So I wouldn’t really want bungie to bring any of it back, but even as someone who has played for a long time I’m pretty disappointed by the current new light introduction.

4 RepliesI’ll come back and try the game out again if they actually give me back the weapons I put days into getting years ago, it was the ultimate betrayal when they started taking away hard time and work just to try to get you and me to run their hamster wheel more and increase the chances of you buying cosmetics and or something that will make them more money. I loved destiny and was a weapon collector and has all of the grimore from the first game except for the ps4 exclusive zen meteor which I still haven’t gotten bc I haven’t played destiny 1 or 2 in over 3-4 years if I remember correctly. I’m glad to see they’re starting to rebuild the game they ripped down to the ground, not trashing peoples hard work is a start, next is to let those who cut through through the harsh jungles of bright engrams and secretly nerfed xp rates and give them their first 2 years of work back, not everyone forgot that, especially me and my mantle of efferdiet hunter cloak or my trial of the 9 weapons.

8 RepliesWarframe can keep old content just fine. And that game has 50x the content Destiny has. Bungie is a much bigger company than DE. There should be no excuse for removing any content, let alone content we paid for. But Bungie has to be predatory and crutch on FOMO to keep everyone playing.

3 RepliesThey can’t do it without ending support for old gen consoles and older pc which unfortunately is still a huge chunk of their player base (probably over 50%) Maybe with final shape they can if they announce a year ahead hey no more ps4 and other old stuff. As it is the game is nearly unplayable on old gen even with the vaulting. They go weeks at a time with huge problems with ability to load the game into ps4 and old xbox (2013 tech)

A lot of content is gone. I would love to get it back. Maybe as an optional installation, for each who wants it too. It would be like a reparation. Bungie would have a lifelong customer in me. I'm not expecting "everything" to be back. But having content like stories, locations, strikes and raids again would be a pleasure.

I disagree however I would argue a modified version of the red war needs to return and it should be the new light experience. Now granted if a player just joined the new light experience would make sense since nothing would make sense however I still think the introduction would be nice… if it then made sense.

Eh, I'd prefer seeing them reprised with random rolls, but if Bungie lets D2Y1 vets use the static Y1 rolls from collections then that's cool too. Black Armory weapons? We already have the menagerie weapons again as of SotH, so picking a few from the Black Armory catelog wouldn't hurt, I guess. Bungie would probably have to make an in-universe reason for Guardians to visit the armories across the system again, though (assuming we aquire them the same way as before), so it'll take time if it does happen. World drops from Forsaken? Hell yeah, now we're cookin'. I still have a Duke Mk. 44 with Rangefinder and Kill Clip in my vault and if I could spend Ascendant Shards to bring it forward I absolutely would. It used to be my go-to non-exotic Hand Cannon in the kinetic slot and I'd love to use it again. Same goes for Dust Rock Blues and some other special weapons from Forsaken because Special Ammo isn't a problem in PvP, especially with the scavenger mod nerf (and I personally don't think it was even beforehand but I can live with it). Destinations? I think Bungie is bringing the ones they need for the narrative moving forward, so I'm sure the Red War locations will return eventually. I mean, the Darkness spit Mars back into the map, so Io and Titan are probably just punching some guts before coming out.

My wife jumped in and played through the tutorial. 2 hours and she was done. Something needs to be there to expand the new player experience. Get them to stick around longer.
