I’ve been away from destiny for a while and just now coming back. I noticed we still can’t change our facial appearance which is insane at this point. I’ve seen some ppl say they just delete their characters after dropping their gear in the vault and start new. I worry if I do that then I’ll have to start all my stuff over again. Like will I have to place guardian rising again and then pay massive amounts of glitter to unlock all my classes and aspects again?

They’ll just turn it into a convoluted, overly complicated and grindy process anyway. Just keep your helmet on and save yourself the hassle.
-
You can. It's called plastic surgery. But don't do it. There's a chance you'll end up looking worse.

Guardian, Archon Of LightArchon Priest Of House Light - old
Your ghost has 1 copy of you, and can't change it -
Think of how much lore would have to change to give Guardians the ability to perform plastic surgery or gender changes. The in-game political ramifications would be staggering
-
Because you were born that way and there are currently no plastic surgeons in D2 lol

Just my understanding: I believe you will have to play all of the quests again. At least anything that isn’t vaulted at this point in time will be available for you once you get past the first quest. Once you play the first starting quest (like the quest you do at the start of the game as a new light)all of your supers should be unlocked once you do the tour at the tower. This is assuming you own all of the expansions before you delete your character. The only thing is, stasis will need to be run again. For example, if you currently have the stasis aspects and fragments unlocked now…if you delete and make a new character, then you will have to do all of those again. The light subclass should be all unlocked. No need to pay any in game money to unlock them. I have deleted and started over before. Yes make sure to equip some low armor and 3 weapons you don’t care about. Put the rest in the vault. Along with all of your other resources. Whatever class you delete, if you make a new character of the same class, it can then use your old armor that is stored in the vault. That way boosting you to the power lv you were before you deleted. Again, just my personal understanding. They definitely should make a way to change looks without deleting.

U will have to do all of that stuff, so if it's minor stuff then just use helmet always on Or make sure that U like it and willnt change ur mind later.

4 RepliesAfter 8 years, it still seems insane? I would think it's the standard feature.... Would you pay silver to change your looks? How much?

Like Lady Gaga. You were born this way.

Because bungle believes transmog should only happen in real life.

Been trying to get it for years. We need something like what monster hunter world had. A consumable item that would let you go through the entire character customization process again. Players get 1 free re-customization pass per character. (Upon the completion of a quest given after new light, so we can’t just farm them easily). Add additional ones to Eververse for a decent amount.

Because Bungie hasn't invented the specific Eververse service yet 😉😂

Hey Guardian. This has been asked since D1, but Bungie never implemented a system to rework our characters appearance. Can't say why, but they simply never did. Last time something about it was mentioned was around the launch of Shadowkeep if I remember corretly, but nothing has been done since there.

Maybe just keep your helmet on ? That's what I do .
-
Because that’s not a feature in Destiny

Everworse is listening.

One word. Helmet.
