Maybe I just don't play the game as much as I used to so it sticks out to me now but it seems like the player base is getting more and more toxic. Just in the last week I join a random team to do a master NF, right at the end before it can count for me I get kicked. We never talked other that to ask if ready before launching.
Ok maybe that was a one off, but then in trials seems like people can't win a round without t-bagging. Every other clan is filled with braggarts. idk maybe I'm just tired of destiny but yeah.

5 RepliesI feel it's because we're at the point where everyone is tired and frustrated how everything in the game has devolved into a boring, unrewarding, repetitive, generic, check list.
-
Yes. But only because the playerbase is feeling disenfranchised by a developer that seems to ignore our concerns at every turn and lie through their teeth just so they can implement game mechanics that are broken and untested or purely there to artificially extend play time.
-
2 RepliesI mean...you have the elite pvp playerbase and influencers demanding to preserve matchmaking that most people don't find fun. Then they spew vitriol against all those who disagree.
-
It`s not bungie, world events, the phase of the moon , or climate control... There`s just a whole subculture of morons that attached themselves to this game. Pretty sure all multi-player games have them as well.
-
Biggest issue is the whole “Casuals are ruining the game” idea and mindset
-
2 RepliesI'm dead serious. Now is the time for being good - nice and helpful. It always was, but with what's going on right now, all those global escalations: war, financial market, food and commodities - now is the time. We are one family, and the global construct we live in is very sensitive. Keep that in mind.

This game has always had an extremely toxic player base. Even back in D1. I didn’t realize until all my friends stopped playing and now I play almost everything solo or through lfg. Pretty much when they stopped playing and I had to start using lfg I realized how truly toxic this community is.
-
Worse in skill due to reliance on mods and broken weapons and streamers telling em what to do.
-
That's been a thing for a while, host your own NF and be the good host you're looking for?
-
As far as preventing someone from booting you out of an LFG activity, just have them join YOU in orbit so that you get assigned as fireteam leader. If they refuse to do it, just look for another group. You don't even have to be direct about it. When you're messaging them, just say "I'm already in orbit, go ahead and join on me". Then send the invites from IN THE GAME. It might be a bit of a hassle, but nothing like losing out on your rewards because some kid needs a laugh that bad. About teabagging, it doesn't bother me. Maybe try laughing at them? I really don't know.

1 ReplyI wouldn’t know I uninstalled D2 just waiting for bungie to get their stuff together.
-
Many blame Bungie. Truth is far too many made this game, and their accomplishments in it,their identity. They don’t play the game to have fun. They play so they can show everyone else what they did in it. So when the content slows, they act out. If you pay attention to their emblems you can get ani idea of what to expect from them in the game.
-
People are getting sick of how bungie if laying everything out. No rewards sometimes, or a lack of good rewards, people don’t cooperate as much now so it’s just getting worse. I don’t get what bungie is expecting. The player base to be better?
-
2 RepliesFor sure getting more toxic literally join a oryx CP host asks if we know what we’re doing I answer for myself “yeah” all a sudden “you are no longer in a fireteam” games community has gotten real outta whack

Edited by wolbeas: 9/28/2022 1:15:55 AMYou seem to be tired of playing games in multiplayer setting. I'd suggest you got with single player type games.

3 RepliesTo be blunt. This is everywhere. From gaming to the real world. The difference is....it's easy to be a vile human from behind a keyboard.
-
1 ReplyWell you can report for booting because that counts as gameplay sabotage, but getting bagged in trials is pretty par for the course.
remember, one of the best strategies for PvP is to annoy your opponents so they play worse.
1 ReplyIs it the player base or just humanity in general?
-
Wazzocks running about with eager edge in pve activities killing teammates is getting tiresome that’s for sure

7% play trials. Half is probably on PC. Of that half the pool is split into non/ flawless pool, and what remains is split into the freelance non/ flawless pool. So we are talking about incredibly small fraction of the player base playing. The new light experience is atrocious so new lights are almost non existent, therefore whatever is left cannibalize each other. Is the game dying no. Is PVP dying, yes. It's so funny how this games endgame content requires fireteams and forces you to interact with others. Sadly as a psychologist I can tell you for a fact misery needs company and bringing someone misery often times makes that person feel better about themselves. So in short human nature can be very cruel

Humans in general

I don't think so. I think people that feel this way need to take a break from the game, honestly.
-
It’s because the game is getting worse. They have more to complain about and enjoy the game less. All reasons to be an -blam!-
-
Nah it's always been toxic
