Just because it’s freelance doesn’t mean you’ll magically go flawless. Bungie does not need to make freelance permanent. It’s a terrible idea

true, but it will be more fun if they remove the cod mode from trials and add more freelance weeks
-
3 RepliesPlay enough and the stars will align. Trials is a tricky one to get right, honestly.

It’s a terrible idea
Hmmm Adept Whistler’s Whim huh? - someone is salty that they can’t just stomp their way to the lighthouse lol This community cracks me up! Only in Destiny will you have “competitive” players wishing it wasn’t so competitive- what a joke…

Edited by JazzyPaladin477: 9/27/2022 10:23:03 AMWow you guys are so out of touch with what the average player wants it’s not funny. Nobody is asking for a magical free trip to the lighthouse, I’ve literally never seen anyone say that. Freelance playlist is for people without a team to go in and earn a few trials engrams without constantly getting smashed by pre-made teams. It’s just more fun. It makes it accessible. Ya there is a long shot of going flawless but nobody goes into freelance with that expectation. If you are good enough to carry seven random teams to flawless through freelance then you would have no trouble in regular trials.

Its guaranteed for good players, I easily got mine when I decided I wanted the title. Ive even carried noobs too on the regular team mode. Trials is overrated, freelance should be permanent. I personally have a lot of fun playing solo and facing other players that still think jotun is meta.
-
9 RepliesNo, but it’s a more level playing field. When going against stacked teams it might take 30-40 games to get 7 wins. But in freelance it takes about 15-20. That alone is significant enough to make it more enjoyable grinding out xp and engrams.
-
17 RepliesI find it funny how the hardcore competitive endgame players don't want their games to be hardcore competitive. you want freelance gone so you can 3stack against solos for easy wins 😂 you're trash
-
I enjoy freelance because of all the people I meet there. Sometimes I get matched with them, or matched against them and and it's really fun just to play to play.

Edited by Quaddity: 9/27/2022 6:42:44 PMAs a non PVP player that plays solo I enjoy freelance mode. I don't care about going flawless I care about getting the 7 wins on the card, going through the ranks and getting all the new gear. I got that last weekend thanks to the freelance pool. Why do you PvP players that are surely playing as a clan care about us wanting to play solo in freelance? Because you aren't stomping us as 3 randoms against your full stack in the non-freelance matches? I won't even bother playing Trials again until freelance comes back.
-
11 RepliesFreelance weekends tend to have a higher participation rate. Ya’ll are upset about more people playing lmao.
-
2 RepliesFreelance players don't really care about going flawless it's just a bonus if they did they might rather grab a team then be handicap in freelance
-
3 RepliesIt's fantastic, and it's allowed me to go Flawless almost every time it's been an option. It should be available each week.
-
Then why do you care if it's a mode or not sounds like youre mad youre only gonna face other stacks.🤷🏼♂️
-
18 RepliesWhat they need to add is a safe space for us casuals via some form of skill protection, tryhards and stat farmers should be in their own pool, we can have a nice more relaxed experience (until someone rage swaps to jotuun) heheheh
-
1 ReplyI think it should be. Would likely cut down on many of the gatekeeping. Certainly would help remove the pay to win players. Though they would need to remove the team module while this is up. But honestly, the sweats like to scream it’s end game pvp and should be difficult. What’s more difficult than carrying two people who don’t use mics or even run an exotic.
-
2 RepliesFor good players, I don't think Freelance is much easier in itself. You often get matched with two terrible players, and at least one person of the team barely does anything. It's essentially 2v3 half the time.
-
4 RepliesWhat’s bad about adding a permanent option? They should make it permanent. If you are playing solo, you can do freelance, and if not, you can do normal.
-
Ok, but let's remove solo queue in regular playlist so you don't get tour easy wins anymore
-
1 ReplyFreelance is honestly less difficult
-
1 ReplyWait…. What? No participation flawless trophy? Bro. That’s just toxic. SOOOO TRIGGERED….
sarcasm
-
3 RepliesI don’t think low skill players are expecting to go flawless. Just matches are easier more often and psychologically they don’t feel as hopeless loosing to stack after stack. That being said, unless Bungie changes the point and goal of Trials, I don’t think freelance should be permanent either.
-
1 ReplyI’m enjoying my time and not going flawless. I’ve been camped out at 7 wins trying to get engrams (so far none have dropped…) for a few hours. Literally running my non-leveled Epicurean and my Biting Winds on Shadebinder. Tons of fun.
-
Oh. I already know and fully understand that fact. It’s one reason I’ve not participated in virtually any trials, despite it being freelance and double xp this week. Trials is simply not appealing to someone like me.
-
7 RepliesThere’s no issue with freelance being permanent Except bad players have nobody to pick on in the regular queue then
-
It’s a great idea. And I don’t think everyone expects to go flawless. Just grind reputation and get better in order to join a team and try to flawless. No need to be elitist.
