If 6 stacks are matched based on the highest "skill" individual in the fireteam, then they will have the disadvtange of having a lower average "skill" than the team of solos.
Also, quitter penalties have helped to alleviate some of the problems with 6 stacks. Manu players would leave games once they saw a stack, which resulted in one-sided games. Since the addition of quitter penalties, I've had much better luck playing against stacks.
We don't need to divide the population any further than it already is.

To my knownledge, the system is broken. Here is an example: My K/D is -5. But the rest of my teammates have a K/D of +2. If my friends join me and I start crucible, the matchmaking will be based only on my K/D, withouy taking into consideration the rest of my team. So...you will have a match of: -A stack of 6 players vs 6 solos, probably. -The opponents will be formed of a "team" of -5 K/D players, without mics or cooperation. -My team will hace 1 -5K/D and 5 +2K/D, probably all with a mic and communicating. I now it is a bit extreme as an example goes, but it is just to highlight how broken ansmd exploitable this system is.

Yeah I remember I did that before my friend has 0.2 K/D we make him a fireteam leader.

.... Wow. Thanks for letting me know. All my faith in Bungie has now been lost. This is the silliest thing I've ever heard. Basically, 6-stacking and dominating teams is even EASIER than previous seasons. They match off the highest card in Trials, so how hard would it be to match off the highest "skill" in Control? Even the average skill would be better than what it is currently!

Sorry, that wasn't my intention at all.

The expressed purpose of SBMM was to reduce the likelihood of one-sided matches. Now, you can exploit matchmaking to get even more one-sided games than you could last season. It's clearly a very blatant error on the part of the Bungie developers. I hadn't heard anything about it until you explained, so I doubt Bungie has a quick fix coming.

Question? are you the one who's carrying the team, or you are being carried by them? (I've had much better luck playing against stacks.) you say? _______________________________________________ Because I 6 stacks with my friends has also similar to my K/D or higher before, so I know how one-sided the game was, it's so damn easy to win. I use the word "easy" because it's easy. _______________________________________________ I solo queue and my teammates are also solo queue we are against a (6 stacks of 2.0 K/D players) and also me have 2.0 K/D and my teammates has 1.7 K/D and one 0.8 K/D. Is that balance? Yes, for a fact some of you think it's balance. Always happened on my end. versus to Chinese players or Korean Players are 6 stacks. Oh they're organize. Coordination, teamwork, and communication are excellent. We solo queue players always going to match them over and over till our team solo queue players get mercy on the match. Then Destiny 2 Matchmaking will think now it's time to find a new match. (Every time we did not get mercy by a 6 stacks we're going to match them again.) That's how it works.
