If this is going to be a thing disable join session in progress, and add map voting.

1 ReplyThis. I don’t mind the quitter’s penalty, but I’d much rather not get thrown in to carry on their match just because they’re too thin-skinned to take it like a champ. If they don’t then why the hell do I have to?
-
2 RepliesI shouldn’t say this honestly, but I think there’s a way to bypass the ban entirely. I’d you quit a game and after the ban is issued, if you switch to another character, I think your other characters are still able to play. With 3 characters, you’ll pretty much be able to completely circumvent the ban by switching between all 3 of them after quitting games.

1 ReplyAnd add freelance.

4 RepliesDisabling being put into a match in progress just guarantees when a player quits the match will spiral. Right now it is possible the game could backfill that player fast enough that the game could be salvaged. Sounds like you’re both upset you’re going to get banned for quitting and you don’t want to ever get put in a less desirable situation because somebody like you had quit the match.
-
2 RepliesIf players stop quitting there will not be any more joining matches in progress. Why do you think they are punishing/deterring quitters for?
-
68 RepliesEdited by wolbeas: 9/19/2022 1:48:29 AMI'm glad they did it. All quitters are just simply revealing themselves with pride 😂
-
No. Dont abandon matches, simple as that, it ruins other’s experience. Other games like apex legends snd overwatch have had this feature for awhile now
-
could you do the same thing for those who don't control the zones and instead just go around killing everyone? ask for a friend.
-
6 RepliesOr don’t quit.

4 RepliesBro do you seriously leave a match that won’t penalize your win-loss because you loaded into an ongoing match? I’m curious why outside of k/d padding. Claiming you hate being spawn-trapped isn’t a thing, use your gun and shoot the man. I rarely die during the spawn animation outside of trials. Same goes for my teammates in the games, I haven’t seen them get sniped out of spawning in control. If you have your gun facing forward and lose the gunfight continuously that’s not Bungie’s fault outside of poor coding on matchmaking. I’m curious to see a community member get so mad at the matchmaking that they actually write the code and send it to Bungie.

2 RepliesMake quit penalty a 50 day suspension...
-
Randoms/Casuals don’t understand that these high tier game mechanics keep Destiny relevant and full of gravitas.
-
3 RepliesWhat they need is regional connections. Someone in North America shouldn't be connecting and playing off someone in BFE with the internet equivalent of AOL dial up. Still say they need dedicated servers for pvp. They got Sony's money and servers now. No excuse except they are lazy and don't want to update their outdated crap.
-
2 RepliesYeah the only time I’ve ever quit consistently in the 7+ years of playing this game is when I land in Disjunction. It’s an absolute chore to play a game of control on that map imo.
-
8 RepliesThe Crucible - Control (Freelance Mode) Gambit has a Freelance Mode. I would rather play against a sweaty players on (freelance Control Crucible) than 6 stack. Why you ask? 6 stack they have no handicaps. Good teamwork and good communication. On freelance all players are equal they all have the same handicaps. It depends on the players. Their skills. That's why the Skill Base Match Making is a good thing. But Bungie Developers going to put a quit penalty on the (The Crucible - Control) we need a "Freelance" Mode. Use your common sense. And by the way (quit penalty) don't remove it. Fix the a problem.

AND force proper region locking, no games over X ping etc. Not to mention matchmaking needs to be rock solid, or a permanent freelance queue. This game is not in a good enough state to deliver penalties, connections are seriously D tier. Not to mention quitting does absolutely nothing to this game... Only time I ever see it is if a game is fully stacked 6 where matchmaking never should have let it happen. Seeing that warning pop up after I get into a game where every kill I make is after I get melee'd... that's a second slap in the face. When did games get so serious that there needs to be penalties in ANYTHING. This is my casual go to, not my esports.

I think we should be able to vote each season for how the maps are weighted in each playlist. I don't think we should be able to vote for maps on a per-game basis.
-
Bungo reads the post Sounds like a reasonable idea…how about those new Eververse items?
-
5 RepliesI think quit penalty should be placed on the ones with a constant high kd who often rage quit just to save their kd, not for average or below average players. Also bungie should reduce how many players can be in a party from 6 max down to 3 max to curb any “steam rolling 6 stacked teams” so the other team players dont have to leave due to unfavorable match made against 6 stacked.
-
I just find it funny that we are seeing just how many people are quitters on the forums. Regardless of reason, the ruling is very justified given how serious people take control. I’d argue it’s the ego playlist in this game
-
66 RepliesGuess you don't get it huh? Quitting penalties are to try and curb quitters so you won't have join in progress matches.
-
Imagine they took the time to do something as thoughtful and obvious as that. Imagine.
-
Exactly, @Bungie ~ Listen
-
If this is going to be a thing, then revert the "widening" of the sbmm parameters, and remove unpopular maps altogether... for me that would do it
-
Yep, agree
