Bxr-55 Battler drop rate with deep sight sucks

Naw, rng is just weird and bad as usual. I got all I needed for it and the purple sword last week (first ever purp sword btw since release). I need one more for the trace rifle, and 3 for the blue sword. Got my last shotgun drop yesterday, BUT I didn’t get my first red drop for the grenade launcher until yesterday.

While it can be frustrating, you have to remember that this is still a looter game, you can't expect to get everything immediately. I think Bungie leaned a bit too hard into crafting and now everyone is just hard chasing patterns immediately, ignoring any normally rolled version of the weapon. I can't blame people for this because I do it myself. The one area I might actually critique is that most of the time, it takes less time to get the patterns, craft the weapon, and get the perks you want, as opposed to getting a roll with maybe a 2/5 perk roll that will function just fine until you eventually get the patterns. I completely agree that it doesn't feel good when you get the pattern faster than getting any half-decent roll to hold you over. Furthermore, you probably already have crafted weapons that are going to be better than normally rolled versions. It also doesn't help that Dares has no bad luck protection like the raid chests or the seasonal activities, so no way to guarantee a pattern every week

Yeah all the weapons drop rates suck, no way to target what you want or need. Hours spend repeating dares of eternity and nothing to show for it. Dead.

Mines got ricochet,perpetual and kill clip. There’s probably better roles but it’s an absolute beast in crucible. What role do you want?

I have a random BR with perpetual motion and rangefinder and a stability masterwork Why should I subject myself to done to death content for a meh origion trait and very slightly better versions of perks

Did better than me...still have 0. Drop rate is on streamer mode. Bungie figures this is content after the 6 min weekly story quest or whatever its called.

2 RepliesNah mate, it’s just that rng is dogshit. It’s like it knows what you want and won’t give it to you. For example, I hate that gun and never use it, so I obviously got 3/4 deepsight copies just by using treasure keys. But I can’t get a helmet to drop from king’s fall even if my life depended on it

Just farm keys, open treasure chest…. It sucks rng, yes….. it did not mean you have to give up. I need one more red pulse rifle and I am still not giving up. I find it useful to use for solar titan and solar hunter…. Solar need rework, I wish warlock need more regenerate. Void warlock is best so far.

You'll get it eventually. Remember, we're only 4 weeks into the season, so no need to rush. Take your time, bounce around different activities, and don't burn yourself out.

5 RepliesI just farmed keys and switched to a character that hadn’t done the 30th anniversary quest. The only thing that drops from the chest when doing this is the bxr so it made getting red borders easy. I don’t remember exactly which step of the quest you need to abandon on so look for a YouTube video. I’m not sure if this has been patched or not, but if not I hope it helps.

I feel you. I have literally gotten 3 other half deepsights. Had time to craft it and get it to 15 for enhanced perks. I have 1 BxR pattern. Makes no sense.

I don’t really want to farm Dares atm so I’m using the rolls I farmed already and vaulted. I want to craft a couple but will wait until I feel like farming the deep sight patterns.
